Meet Dominika Oppl Meza | Spiritual Facilitator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominika Oppl Meza and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dominika, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born and raised in Czech Republic in a humble family, which shaped my resilience and deep appreciation for life’s journey. I started working at the age of 13, learning the value of independence and perseverance early on. My path eventually led me across North and South America, where I immersed myself in the study of self-awareness, healing, and spirituality.
In California, I specialized in herbs and sound therapy; in Mexico, I explored shamanic trauma release; and in Argentina, I studied astrology, tarot, reiki, and the Akashic records. I also spent a few months in Africa as a teacher working with children, an experience that further deepened my understanding of human connection and learning. Additionally, my time working with autistic children opened my eyes to the many different ways we communicate beyond words—through energy, emotion, and presence.
These experiences not only deepened my understanding of holistic healing but also fueled my passion for accompany others to reconnect with their inner strength and creative freedom. Today, I integrate these modalities into my work, offering transformative experiences through soundbaths, guided meditations, Astrology and Tarot sessions, and energy healing. My journey has taught me that no matter where we come from, we all have the power to heal, grow, and create a fulfilling life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work? Imagine a cosmic DJ set where energy, intuition, and sound collide. I don’t just guide meditations or play instruments— it’s not me at all who takes over and create the experience. Some people leave feeling lighter, some have mind-blowing realizations, and some just take the best nap of their life (which I fully support).
What gets me fired up? The wild, unpredictable magic of it all. No two sessions are ever the same—it’s like painting with invisible colors and letting the universe add its own brushstrokes. Not feeling bored with my work ever, it’s just original every time, not knowing what the experience will bring.
And if there’s one thing I want the world to know, it’s this: healing isn’t about ‘fixing’ yourself. You were never broken. It’s about tuning in, turning up the volume on your inner truth, and dancing to the rhythm of who you’ve always been. If I can help you hear that—through sound, stillness, or a moment of pure listening —then mission accomplished.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Day 1: Sunrise cold plunge in the ocean, followed by warm blankets, deep chats, and a rich cup of ceremonial cacao to start the week right.
Day 2: Road trip to Valle de Guadalupe—meditating in the desert from there is magickal and connection with nature there – ah! And the homemade tacos that taste like a grandma made, are no brainer!
Day 3: A scenic hike at Elfin Forest or Green Valley Falls—breathing in the fresh air, connecting with nature, and cooling off in the falls letting the fresh and free water cleanse what has to go✨
Day 4: Visit Balboa Park, explore its stunning museums (Museum of Art and Mingei are my favorite), and enjoy a fun picnic afterward.
Day 5: Whale watching and paddling—seeing the majestic creatures up close and then meditation with paddling, probably then some fresh seafood from the Point Loma market.
Day 6: Spiritual and physical reset with my beautiful magickal friends—acupuncture, energy work, and a soundbath that can never go wrong.
Day 7: My favorite Saturday morning class at YogaDeck – kundalini yoga and then coffee at Mnemonic! Probably some tarot cards in the air, because I just like to dig deeper every time and sending off my friends with some reflections.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There have been so many incredible souls and experiences that have shaped my journey, and I’m deeply grateful for each of them. First and foremost, I want to recognize my family—while we didn’t have much, I learned there resilience, the value of following my passion, and the importance of coming back to my true self.
I also want to honor the teachers, mentors, and healers I’ve learned from across the world. Each teacher played a role in expanding my perspective.
I am endlessly grateful for my husband, who supports me in every way and is incredibly present for our children, allowing me to do the work I love. My beautiful friends, who believed in me from the start, shared my work with their circles, and helped me take that first steps, they deserve a big recognition, as by myself I wouldn’t be able to start
.
And, of course, the people who show up for my offerings—every person who has trusted me to hold space for them in a soundbath, a guided meditation, or sessions. Your openness, vulnerability, and transformation inspire me every day.
This journey hasn’t been one I’ve walked alone, and I carry the wisdom, support, and love of so many with me.
