Meet Megan Goldstein | Dancer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Goldstein and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Megan, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking is a huge part of my career! As a professional dancer you have to constantly be putting yourself out there in auditions, classes, and even networking with other creatives! I’ve had to learn how to be okay with taking risks with putting myself in front of directors and choreographers especially in audition setting where you might be asked to be really vulnerable!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a professional dancer based in Los Angeles, CA!
I started dancing at the age of four and I knew it was what I wanted to do! I love the feeling of being on stage and performing in front of an audience!
I’m really proud of the path I’ve created for myself! Being a ballet and contemporary dancer it’s not easy to book work but I’ve been able to experience some dream jobs so far! I’ve worked on a Netflix show called “Love, Death, and Robots” for an episode called “Jibaro” and that job was my favorite for a few different reasons! I got to work with a friend of mine named Sara Silkin who choreographed the episode and I got to play with improving my own movement for it which was so freeing in a job setting!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend was visiting LA the first place I’m taking them to is Aroma Coffee and Tea Co! This is my favorite coffee shop for a lot of different reasons but mainly I love the atmosphere and the outdoor seating and they have the best dirty chai!
I would also bring them to the Warner brothers studio store! I buy the Gilmore girls coffee there and I think it’s a super cute spot to visit!
You also can come to Cali and not visit the beach! My favorite beaches are in Orange County, where I grew up, so a trip down to Newport Beach is a must for a nice beach day and some Nékter acai bowls!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shoutout my parents! I wouldn’t be where I am today without their constant support and love!
