I had always dreamed of creating content and having some kind of impact on others . I believe social media can open door and teach us new things every day and that’s exactly what I wanted that anytime someone came acordaos my profile , they could connect to what I was sharing ; as well as learning some things that they might not know how to do that I do which is cooking! Jessie Burns

My thought process behind starting my own business was that if literally anyone else could do it – 𝙄/𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙙𝙤 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡. Today’s landscape of being a business owner has changed so drastically, and continues to evolve so quickly – that becoming a 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 business owner was kind of a no brainer.

For nearly twenty years, our team has succeeded in co-founding and cultivating one of the most locally known independent hip-hop groups/brands throughout the San Diego music scene – the 2x San Diego Music Award winners – The Brothers Burns. Strangely enough though, being a musical entertainer was never an outright dream of mine or anything I thought to be any business of mine in any sense. Read more>>

Novell Riley | Realtor

I really wanted to be able to help people achieve the goal of home ownership – especially first time home buyers who are navigating the process of making one of the largest and most important purchases of their life!

When I bought my first home I had no idea where to start, I only knew I wanted a home to call my own. My experience purchasing my first house wasn’t the best; it felt very transactional. That last part is especially important – I love building relationships with my clients and really getting to know them as humans first. Read more>>

Danielle Vargas | Exotic Candle Maker

My thought process behind starting my own business was primarily driven by the fact that I was struggling to find a job. At the same time, my boyfriend encouraged me to take control of my own future and work for myself, instead of relying on someone else for employment. This motivation led me to explore my creative side, and I decided to try candle making. I was inspired to create beautiful, unique candle figures that could bring joy and warmth to people’s lives. Starting my own business has given me the freedom and fulfillment that I couldn’t find in a traditional job. Read more>>

We started our business because we saw a simple problem causing unnecessary hassle for many people: changing tires. Most of us rely on auto shops or service centers, which can be time-consuming, expensive, and inconvenient. We thought, ‘There has to be a better way.’ We realized that, despite how common tire maintenance is, there wasn’t a reliable, easy solution that directly brought this service to people at their homes. Brian Petersen | Episcopal Priest

Even though I am an ordained minister in the Episcopal Church, I’ve always felt just as comfortable encountering and being in conversation with spirituality outside of a traditional church setting. Over the years, I’ve encountered so many people who have a deep spiritual hunger in their lives, but the traditional church hasn’t always given them the space or even the vocabulary to be able to comfortably explore that side of life. So the initial idea behind St. Brigid’s was to create a space and a community where people could connect with other like-minded spiritual seekers without having to face some of the barriers that traditional church puts up (whether intentionally or not).
