Meet Deanna Ornelas | Founder and Creative Director of Made For You Flowers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Deanna Ornelas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Deanna, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand has been consistency—showing up every day, even when it’s hard, and delivering exceptional service to my clients. Whether it’s through thoughtful design, personalized experiences, or attention to detail, I’ve built trust and a reputation that keeps people coming back and referring my services. The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand has been consistency. In the floral and event industry, every event is high-stakes, whether it’s a wedding or corporate celebration, there are no do-overs. I’ve built trust with my clients by consistently delivering exceptional quality, personalized designs, and attention to every little detail. For example, there was a time when I had two weddings in one day, hours apart, and I had to repurpose ceremony flowers between venues. While it was a logistical challenge, my team and I planned meticulously, executed flawlessly, and both clients felt like they were my only priority. It’s that level of care and consistency that keeps clients returning and referring my services. I believe showing up every day, staying adaptable, and remaining committed to excellence has been the foundation of my success.
The floral and event industry is constantly changing, and being able to pivot, whether by offering new services, exploring sustainable practices, or expanding into full event production—has allowed my brand to evolve and stay relevant. It’s this combination of persistence, creativity, and adaptability that has driven my growth.

What should our readers know about your business?
This business is truly a labor of love. It began in my garage during the uncertainty of COVID, and while I didn’t know where it would lead, I stayed consistent and positive. Over time, I shifted from retail floristry to an event-focused approach, knowing that my passion lies in creating beautiful florals and unforgettable moments. Staying true to my beliefs and leveraging my prior experience in the finance and banking industry—a major career pivot—was a huge risk, but it has been the most rewarding decision I’ve ever made. It’s given me a sense of accomplishment and purpose I hadn’t experienced before.
Every stem I choose is intentionally selected and thoughtfully placed in each design, and when I take on a client, I promise them my undivided attention and care. In an industry that is constantly evolving and growing, I believe my authenticity and dedication to each client are what truly set me apart. My focus is always on crafting meaningful, personalized experiences that leave a lasting impression, and that’s what makes this journey so fulfilling.
At the heart of Made For You Flowers is a commitment to authenticity, care, and sustainability. I’m dedicated to crafting not just events but experiences that tell a story and create lasting memories.Looking ahead, I’m excited to expand our services to include full event production, offering clients a one-stop experience for their special day. I’m also working on incorporating more sustainability efforts into our designs and materials, ensuring our work leaves a positive impact on both people and the planet
For anyone dreaming of starting their own business, my biggest piece of advice is to stay consistent and trust the process. Success takes time, but with passion and perseverance, you can create something meaningful and fulfilling.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my incredible family & friends who are my greatest support system. My motivation has always been my daughter, she inspires me to work harder and dream bigger every day. I’ve been so fortunate to have the unwavering love and encouragement of my family. My family members are always willing to lend a hand, even while balancing their own jobs. My mother is my right-hand person. She’s by my side for every event, staying up with me during late nights and being my rock when things get tough. My friends have shown their support by reposting, purchasing florals and referring me when they can. As a business owner & entrepreneur I have been very fortunate to feel so loved and supported, and I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
