We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Salcido and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Isaac, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought Process has always been a bit unorthodox I never wanted to start a business in the industry im in. Found myself Forced in to it by seeing the lack of training, honesty and above all Leadership. I truly believe my team and I can build an amazing company that can impact and shift the American household.
What should our readers know about your business?
I’m in the life insurance and Retirement planning Space. Whats sets us apart is the tools we provide our clients so that they make better financial decisions, such as organization. First rule when it comes to growing anything is organization and we want to make sure our clients are on track. What I’m most proud of is some new technology we are working on to help the agent and client change their habits, habits dictate your future when it comes to health, love and finances. How did I get to were I am and was it easy??? Not at all this hasn’t been easy, I started in the industry at 23 yrs old in a city where nobody knew me in the retirement space. So definitely not easy but I came to the conclusion that the only way my clients would do business with me is if I wowed them, so I had to work 3 times harder than my competition to get to where I am today. To be honest with you, I feel that I’m in the starting line right now. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is you need to protect your circle because the people around you can make you or break you. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW THAT WE ARE HERE TO PROTECT THE WIDOWS AND THE ORPHANS!!!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First I’d take them to Imperial Beach to have a slice of pizza from Luigis Pizzeria accompanied with a blue moon. From there we would get on the car take the silver strand way to coronado from there have some fish poke in coronado chill for the day. next morning i would wake them up go walk by seaport village with coffee go back to my apartment that’s in east village have breakfast from there head to sunset cliffs chill for the day I would also take them to LA JOLLA CAVE, BALBOA, WINDANSEA, MOUNT SOLEDAD, AND WOULD GO DO A HIKE TO POTATO CHIP. ILL MAKE SURE WE EAT SOME GOOD FISH, PIZZA, AND SOME GOOD PLANT BASE FOOD.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I know this is cliche but my mom has been a huge part of my success. My mom became a widow at 37 years old with four kids she doubled down worked harder went back to school and pulled through she was able to raise 3 boys and 1 girl all by herself. Through her (CYNTHIA ACEDO) actions I learned that im in control of my life and that there is no victims in this world there’s only people that learn the lesson and people that don’t. Till this day she always has a smile in her face she is relentless in everything she does i truly love my mom she’s my hero.
