The lessons we’ve learned along the way

One of the most important lessons we learned is that our lives and our businesses will teach us along the way. We don’t need to know everything on day one because the challenges we face on day will likely be ones we are already equipped to handle. As we overcome challenges we get better and better and as the challenges increase in difficulty so too does our ability to tackle them.
We asked members of the community that we admire to share important lessons their business or career has taught them and have shared some of those responses below.
I have a career where I am welcomed into the homes and lives of the families I work with everyday. Because of this, I have learned there is truly no one “right” way to eat and there is so much more to food than healthy and unhealthy. We can eat to grow, eat to have more energy, eat because it smells or looks good, eat to connect with others, and eat because it feels good to our bodies. This lesson has led me to create a business that values every aspect of the child I am working with and I’ve realized their actions around food, often considered “behaviors,” are a form of communication. Always trust your intuition; learning to listen to those gut instincts will save you so much time, energy, money, and even heartbreak. Learn how to distinguish your intuition from fear and the universe will take you far. I honestly believe that fear stops so many people from following their dreams; fear is the enemy of progress. Starting Bake Love to Me and following my dreams was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done, yet my business has opened up so many beautiful opportunities for me. One of the most important lessons my journey in business has taught me is the power of resilience. Just like in life, there are ups and downs, and it’s all about how you bounce back. It reminds me that success isn’t just about the destination; it’s about embracing the journey and the wisdom gained along the way.
