We had the good fortune of connecting with Yara Yaroslavna and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yara, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor for the success of my business is the care I provide for both employees and clients, alongside a commitment to high-quality service. In a world filled with options and competition, a human-centered approach becomes the distinguishing feature that sets us apart.

I always strive to put myself in the shoes of both clients and employees when making decisions and during daily operations. This perspective allows me to better understand their needs and expectations. When my team feels valued and supported, it positively reflects on their work and interactions with clients. Confident and satisfied employees become our best brand ambassadors.

For me, caring for clients goes beyond just providing service; it’s about creating a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere where every client feels their opinion matters. I aim for every interaction with our business to leave a positive impression, even when challenges arise. We learn from feedback, take suggestions to heart, and continuously work to improve our offerings.

By fostering a culture of care and respect, I not only build strong relationships with clients and employees but also lay the foundation for long-term business success. Each employee, each smile from a client—these are steps toward our collective success, and I take pride in the fact that our business is built on such values.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I began my journey in the nail industry back in Russia, where I pursued it as a hobby and absolutely loved it. After winning the green card lottery, I started thinking about my future in the U.S. and decided to focus on nails as my first venture. The quality of service and techniques from the CIS countries differ significantly from local practices, which attracted a lot of clients eager for something unique.

I worked tirelessly to perfect my skills and increase my efficiency, and now I’m proud to have opened a salon featuring some of the best specialists in the field. My continuous experience over the past eight years has allowed me to train others and elevate their professional skills. I take pride in calling myself an expert in the nail industry, especially considering I was just an enthusiast eight years ago.

The journey hasn’t been easy. I faced numerous challenges, from navigating a new culture to building a client base from scratch. However, with perseverance and a commitment to high-quality service, I overcame those obstacles. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of adaptability and continuous learning.

I want the world to know that my brand stands for excellence, innovation, and a dedication to client satisfaction. My story is a testament to the power of hard work and passion, and I’m excited to continue making a positive impact in the beauty industry!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting, I would craft an incredible week-long itinerary filled with breathtaking sights and delicious culinary experiences!

**Day 1:** We would kick off our adventure with a drive along the stunning 17-Mile Drive, taking in the magnificent ocean views and picturesque stops. Afterward, we’d head to downtown Carmel for a cozy coffee at a charming local café. I’d suggest a leisurely stroll at Point Lobos—an absolute must for its breathtaking coastal scenery.

**Day 2:** We’d explore downtown Saratoga, soaking in its delightful shops and unique atmosphere. Breakfast would be at Lele Café in Los Gatos, where the menu is simply incredible. My favorite dish is the Syrniki topped with fresh berries.

**Day 3:** Our agenda would include a visit to the Winchester Mystery House, a place filled with fascinating history and intriguing architecture.

**Day 4:** We’d spend some time wandering the beautiful campus of Stanford University. I adore the stunning grounds and rich history; it’s the perfect spot for a leisurely walk.

**Day 5:** A day at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk would be next, packed with fun in the sun, thrilling rides, and games. We’d grab lunch at a delightful beachside eatery.

**Day 6:** We would dedicate a day to wine tasting in the Santa Clara Valley, visiting local vineyards and savoring the scenic views.

**Day 7:** To wrap up our week, I’d take them to a local farmers market where we could sample fresh produce and artisanal goods, followed by a lovely dinner at a my favorite restaurant “King’s Fish”.

This itinerary beautifully captures the essence of the area, blending nature, culture, and exceptional food. I can’t wait to share these unforgettable experiences!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely! I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my fiancé, who has been my greatest inspiration. Like me, he is an immigrant who started from scratch and built an impressive company in the U.S., successfully franchising his business. His journey over the past seven years has shown me what’s possible with hard work, dedication, and a vision.

Watching him navigate the challenges and triumphs of entrepreneurship has fueled my passion to create a business that not only serves our community but also provides meaningful job opportunities for others. It’s incredibly rewarding to be in a position where I can help others succeed and give them the chance to thrive.

His success reminds me that with perseverance and a commitment to high-quality service, we can truly make a positive impact. I’m grateful for his support and the example he sets, and I’m excited to continue building something special that brings value to people’s lives.
