We had the good fortune of connecting with Ginger Lou and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ginger, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
In my world, success is not just about reaching a destination; it’s about embracing the journey with all its twists and turns. I dance to the rhythm of my own brush strokes, creating art, fashion and jewelry that speaks a language only the truly passionate can understand. Success, to me, is when I see my unconventional creations come to life, each creation telling it’s own story of beauty, courage and tenacity.
I believe in what I do, fiercely and unapologetically. My art is a reflection of that belief – bold, unafraid to push boundaries, unyielding in its uniqueness. I craft with precision, pouring my soul into every piece, knowing that my passion will shine through in the final product.
Being different doesn’t scare me; it empowers me. I revel in the freedom of expression, unshackled by the constraints of conformity. The whispers of doubt from others only fuel my determination to prove them wrong. I dare to be different because I know that true greatness lies in the willingness to embrace one’s individuality.
I don’t seek validation from external sources; my validation comes from within. I recognize my own power, the strength that lies in authenticity and self-acceptance.
Success, to me, is not just about external accolades or material gains. It’s about the quiet moments of self-assurance, the gentle whispers of the soul that say, “You are enough.” It’s about recognizing the small victories along the way, the milestones that mark my growth and evolution.
To me the single most important component of success is feeling worthy of accepting it and therefore, allowing it to flow into my life gracefully. I know that the most important factor behind my success is not just talent or skill, but the unwavering belief in myself and my art. And with every creation that springs forth from my imagination, I am reminded of the boundless potential that lies within me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My brand and my story intertwine like a beautifully complex dance, reflecting the essence of my life journey steeped in perseverance, determination, and the never-ending pursuit of self-improvement. From immersing myself in the beauty of California’s nature to infusing my art with spiritual growth and self-acceptance, my jewelry, art and fashion pieces embody the kaleidoscope of emotions, difficulties, and joys that have shaped me. Getting to where I am today professionally wasn’t a walk in the park, but rather a labyrinth of challenges that tested my grit and resilience. Yet, through it all, I learned that every hurdle is a stepping stone, and every setback a lesson waiting to be embraced. I want the world to know that my relentless passion for art is imbued with a constant strive for growth and perfection, mirroring the ever-evolving diversity found in the intricate beauty of our planet. So, here’s to pushing against the grain, embracing twists of fate, surfing the flow and celebrating the metamorphosis of life with the delicate grace of a butterfly.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were in town for a week, buckle up for a memorable ride! We’d kick things off with a charming walking tour of Coronado, soaking in the local vibes. Then, we’d groove to a concert in the park. Next stop, Dana Point, for a scenic stroll before devouring mouthwatering tacos at my favorite spot, Lupe’s. Next we would cruise up the coast, making pit stops at the Getty Center and the Getty Villa for a cultural infusion. Then we would fuel our artistic souls at Shepherd Fairey’s gallery on Sunset and catch up with friends at local art shows. The adventure would continue heading north to Oceano, hunting for sand dollars and exploring the Pismo Butterfly Forest, in search of butterflies and the adorable owl family that calls it home. Next, we’d embark on a journey to San Luis Obispo, visiting the secret garden at the Madonna Inn. Next stops are Cambria, San Simeon, Carmel and the 17 mile drive stopping for lunch at the Pebble Beach golf course clubhouse, then off to Monterey, and finally my absolute favorite place, Big Sur where we would stay at Fernwood inn, walk the trails by the river, enjoy a beer at the bar and rise early to visit Pfeiffer beach for the sunrise. After exploring the beach we would enjoy lunch at Nepenthe, and a concert at the Henry Miller Library, all the while immersing ourselves in nature’s beauty and the warmth of the locals. Breathing in the ocean breeze, the scent of pine trees, and relish in encounters with deer and cool streams to soak our feet in. Embracing the breathtaking landscapes of our complete independence, and the thrill of unbridled exploration. The stunning views etching themselves in our memories forever. Riding a rollercoaster of fun, laughter, and pure adventure!
