When I was five years old, I was in a very serious car accident that shattered 2 vertebrae and required a very long period of recovery. For me, a risk is something I usually have a gut feeling about. The risk usually scares me but in a way where I know its meant to push me to grow. If I overthink the risk or ask too many opinions I can easily talk myself out of it. I have learned to trust that feeling, knowing that beyond making the risky decision lies transformational experiences. Risk has played a part in my life in moving around the world, in putting myself out there to meet new people, and in starting a business. None of these things were easy, actually quite the opposite, but all of them resulted in life changing relationships, opportunities and in self discovery that could only be found by taking these risks.
