Meet Abigail Argersinger | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Abigail Argersinger and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Abigail, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
When I was younger, I didn’t think much about work-life balance. But as I got older, especially when I started my career, things started to change. Work took up more time, and I had to manage my schedule better to fit in everything I wanted to do.
Now, I see work-life balance as really important. It’s like a seesaw. If you put too much weight on one side—like all work and no play—you’ll feel out of whack. And if it’s all play and no work, well, that’s not good either because you won’t get things done.
To keep a good balance, I try to set priorities. I also make sure to set aside time for fun stuff, like hanging out with friends.
Thinking about the future, I know work-life balance will keep changing. But the key, I think, is to always remember that both work and life are important. You can’t ignore one for the other. It’s all about finding that sweet spot where you feel good about what you’re doing at work and still have energy to enjoy life outside of it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Photography is like painting with light; it’s how I share the way I see the world. What sets me apart is my attention to the tiny details that many might overlook – a drop of dew on a leaf, the way shadows play across a face, or the emotion in a candid laugh. I’m most proud of my ability to capture these moments and evoke emotions through my images.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. It took countless hours of practice, learning from mistakes, and pushing through times when my work didn’t get the recognition I hoped for. I overcame challenges by staying true to my vision and continually refining my skills. Networking with other photographers and listening to client feedback has been invaluable.
One key lesson I’ve learned is that resilience is crucial. Rejection and criticism are part of the journey, but they can lead to growth. Another important lesson is that there’s always something new to learn in photography, whether it’s a technique, a perspective, or understanding light better.
I want the world to know that my brand is more than just images; it’s about connection and storytelling. Each photo tells a story, and I strive to make sure it’s authentic and speaks to the viewer on a personal level. My goal is to create art that resonates, reflects the beauty in the world, and captures the essence of a moment that will never happen again.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many folks deserve a big thanks for motivating me to keep pushing my business forward. However, there’s one friend who really stands out. She launched her own jewelry brand, KRJ by Kasia Randall, and turned it into something amazing. Her success is inspiring, and she always tells me to stay the course because with time and effort, my business will flourish.
