Meet Annie Sarinas | Energy Healer/Reiki Practitioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Annie Sarinas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Annie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business, I wanted to help people find peace, clarity, and comfort in their spiritual journey and daily life. As an energy healer/reiki practitioner, I created a healing space for others to find stillness and reconnect with themselves on a deeper level where they are able to find solace and receive guidance. My background in psychology and experience working with adults and children who dealt with emotional, mental, and physical challenges became part of my drive to help people heal. I wanted to create a safe and peaceful space for people to connect or reconnect with their inner selves, to honor themselves through self-love and self-healing, whether it’s through the healing services I provide or the products I create.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Everyone has different gifts and light to share. When I started embracing and sharing my intuitive gifts, I quickly realized my purpose in guiding others in their healing journey. As an intuitive, I was given the gift of Clair senses which I was aware of at a very young age. Through meditation and these gifts, I’m able to energetically connect to people and places. I see, feel, and receive information from a Divine/Higher Source while I meditate and through my energy healing sessions. As an energy healer, I also work with crystals and their healing properties. I intuitively select crystals for my shop and work with customers in curating custom healing sets as well as sourcing pieces for clients’ homes, work, and healing spaces.
Growing up I had a passion for natural herbs and making natural products I learned a lot about herbalism from my grandmother and was motivated to use this knowledge and wisdom to create my products. My vision and intention were to create apothecary products that are safe for the body and environment and curate my synergy of scents. All my products from coconut soy wax candles, herbal blends, natural intention oils, and sprays are created with quality ingredients and the intention of love and light.
I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for the love and support from my clients/customers who believe in my products and the intentions behind my creations. Also, the love and support from my family and friends. I am blessed and so grateful for those who have helped me along the way in various ways. My business is my full-time and main income, it’s not easy especially when you start out. There’s a lot of money, time, and energy that goes into running a business and many times fear and doubts will creep up but with perseverance, believing in myself, and trusting the process the Universe somehow has shown me repeatedly and loudly that I am living my soul’s purpose.
I learned using social media as a channel for your business can be challenging. Honestly speaking, when we’re constantly being flooded with content, I find myself asking “Am I doing enough?”. However, it’s been a lesson for me to give myself grace. I always say my work is part of my life but not my whole life. When I catch myself during these times, I go back to my purpose and mission and remind myself I work from my heart space and that all parts of my business, from the healing to the products, align with my purpose. I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing because it’s all happening in perfect and Divine timing.
My mantra in life and in my business is to always do things from your heart and with good intentions because I am a believer in karma. Our actions, words, and thoughts are powerful and have both good and bad consequences.
As a healer, I feel it is so important to protect and not give easy access to your energy. I respect that every person I connect with is going through their own unique journey and everybody processes emotions differently. It took a lot of learning, healing, and growth to truly understand my gifts. Through my experiences, I see its true worth and embrace it fully. I go through challenges in life like many do but have learned to rise above whatever I face and find gratitude. Empathy is key in my practice and it’s my intention to hold a safe space for my clients to feel and move through their emotions. I guide others to find their light and release any energy not serving their highest good. I also want people to know finding peace is about reconnecting with themselves, going within and honoring themselves, and releasing guilt. Focusing on the daily little things that make us happy and bring us peace. I’m not the solution or the one who has the answers. I’m just a channel and a source to help shine a light on what’s already there. Everything we need to know is always within us, I just help quiet the distractions to make it easier to see.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There is so much to do and see here in SoCal! Being that we live near the ocean in the South Bay there are several nice beaches here, I would take my friend to the ocean and get in some ocean therapy. Being in nature is good for the soul and the weather is usually nice, we would do some hiking, and just enjoy nature and do a little grounding locally at Terranea Discovery Trail. Other trails we would check out during the week would be George F. Canyon Nature Trail or trails at Griffith Park since they are pretty local.
Some of my favorite places to visit and enjoy nature further away are Sequoia and Yosemite National Park, it’s just serene and the trees and mountains are amazing. If there’s time I would take them to visit the National Parks and Mt. Shasta and check out Burney Falls because it’s so pretty in person they have various levels of hiking trails.
Supporting small businesses and local shops is important to me, not only because I’m also part of the community, but I recognize the work and details put into every place. A little retail therapy never hurts and I love going. I would take my friend to check out and support!
Food is also a must on the itinerary. Trying out different cuisines from different cultures. Some of my favorite Thai restaurants are located in Thai Town in Hollywood or we would check out the Thai street vendors on the weekend. There are also many food vendors on the weekend to visit. One of the places I would take them to is Smorgusburg where there’s an abundance of delicious food vendors you can try and shop with small businesses and local artisans. Desserts are also a must and there are so many delicious places to try! I would take my friend to my favorite place, Millet Crepe in Sawtelle, and pick up some Porto’s Bakery (those infamous cheese rolls) and some delicious ice cream from Wanderlust Creamery because their flavors are all unique and curated with nostalgic intentions.
Last but not least, California also has some of the most beautiful temples and sacred peaceful places. The temple I would take my best friend to would be the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu temple in Chino Hills, it is beautifully built with teak wood from India and white Marble. Another sacred place would be the Lake Shrine Temple in Pacific Palisades to take in some tranquil energy and visit their beautiful meditation garden. Maybe a week is not enough, but there are definitely a lot of things to do and see in California that will easily fill up a week-long itinerary!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are several family and friends who I wish to thank and who supported and encouraged me through this journey. I had very little background in how to start a business, but my husband helped me a lot with his knowledge of business, he also helps with late-night packing orders, and post office drop-offs. He is my rock through all of the ups and downs of being a business owner and encouraging me to always dream big and do what makes me happy. My daughters help with making the candles and we also curate a lot of the scents together which is so special to me. I am also lucky to have an amazing group of strong women in my life, thank you to my mom, grandmother, and my soul sisters who are always here to support me and inspire me to create from my heart and remind me that my gift is my superpower. Thank you to my clients, who always motivate and inspire me to keep on going! I also want to give a big thank you to my friends at Amie House Wellness Center Reimagined located in Redondo Beach, thank you for giving me the opportunity to open my own healing studio at Amie House and believing in me! Thank you everyone for giving me your unconditional love and support!
