Meet Rockstallion | Rock Group

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rockstallion and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rockstallion, why did you pursue a creative career?
Rockstallion was formed by accident. We we’re four guys just trying to fill in a gig for a night. The chemistry we felt after playing together for the first time as a group made us want to do it again. From there it just kept going to this day.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We formed in 2015 to do a one night gig at a very small venue in the valley, we loved the chemistry so much that we just kept going. We’ve been blessed to have been able to capture a following who have been very supportive, seeing them every week is one of the reasons we are inspired to keep gigging. Being in a band is tough, it was very difficult to getting booked when we were starting, but our persistence eventually paid off. We just kept going making sure to keep a good balance in our setlist of songs that people want to hear, want to sing along and dance to. Every band out there is different, but what makes a group, any group sound unique is the way the members play together as a unit, and the music that results from that is what sets them apart. We are extremely blessed that we have guys who not only are very professional at what they do, but are also very reliable on and off the stage. To this day the biggest challenge we have is the physical work involved every night. Having to bring all our gear, set it up, play then tear down afterwards is very demanding physically, and it takes a lot, not to mention having to drive to the gig and back. In the Philippines, we only had to bring our guitars and keys. Everything else was already setup, but here in the states most venues require the band to bring everything, even lights. As a performing group, we have realized a profound timeless advice shared by other performers to be true. No matter if there is only 1 person in the audience or 1000, you still give it your all. At the end of every gig, we want our audience to have that Rockstallion experience that they take home with them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We love all our venues! Since we’re playing almost every weekend, we can invite anyone who would want to see us at one of the venues we play at. For now, we are booked at mostly the South Bay, OC, and beach cities.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to give a shoutout to our families, they have been extremely supportive and understanding. We would not be able to keep doing this without them behind us, pushing us and believing in us. A very special shoutout to our two previous (and founding members) Perfecto and Paul, we miss tou guys!
