We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Trahan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to have a profession where I could plan special events and weddings. At the time, my market did not have any established wedding planners so I decided to start my own business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business plans weddings, events and travel. I discovered my passion for planning events in high school and realized it could be a profession. I truly love what I get to do each day and I believe that makes a huge difference. I thrive off the to do list and accomplishment of pulling off a design that a client falls in love with. Working with different personalities always has its can be interesting but if you choose your clients wisely, it makes the process that much more enjoyable! I have been very blessed with wonderful clients! I hope to be doing this until I’m 80.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I have traveled a good bit and in my opinion, Lafayette has the best food. I would take my friends to several of our restaurants. If there was a Festival, out of towners will usually enjoy the uniqueness of any of our local festivals.

Tsunami- Great Sushi and fun atmosphere
Palmyre or Mercy Kitchen for drinks with friends
Imonelli is my favorite date night restaurant featuring great Italian dishes and steaks.
Vestal has great bites with a unique aesthetic
I would suggest a trip to Riverspa for relaxation
We would surely visit Swoon and Maven for a shopping day

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow, there are so many. My parents for supporting my goals as my business was only a dream. My husband for making it possible for me to be away so many nights and weekends .
