Meet Nicole Chang | Pin up Model and Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Chang and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
That you and your business is not for everyone, and that’s okay. Everyone has a target audience, and with that comes many opinions. You will either let that fuel you or destroy you.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I am a published Pin up model, and in 2012 is when I had my first professional photos taken. I have a background in sales and marketing, but whether it be promotional, clothing, or personal – this artform calls out to me. 2022 is when I launched my accessory line Vicious Delicious, as I love to style and curate. I love the art behind fashion and pushing boundaries when it comes to personal style. When it comes to any craft, it’s important to keep putting yourself out there. To see results, you can’t be afraid of standing out from the crowd and owning your quirks. My advice is to stay true to how you want to portray your brand.  Everyone has their own definition of what it means to be happy and feel accomplished; know what it means for you and pave the path towards the future you want.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I feel like there’s definitely some honorary mentions here. A few places that come to mind :

Kuishimbo in Los Angeles.
Gen Korea BBQ in Glendale.
Smorgasburg in DTLA.

The echo park lake for a chat and stroll, followed by an elote and swan boat ride.
Visiting the pier or a fair for the rides is mandatory. Visiting the shops on Magnolia in Burbank or Vermont in LA ( Horror / Spooky, Vintage, thrifting, etc)

I think 2 interesting spots to check out is Wackos on Hollywood Blvd, and Momento Mori in LA, it’s an experience that always delivers.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to shout out my life partner and best friend Cisco, he has been a genuine support since day one and has encouraged my dreams no matter the season or reason. He’s a producer, writer, 3D artist and Audio Engineer.
