We had the good fortune of connecting with Caulin Donaldson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caulin, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is that the mission is always bigger than myself. It’s not about how many views or followers I can get, my platform is based off of building community and making positive change.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m most proud of the Toy Box that my followers helped implement on my local beach. Its focus is to divert plastic pollution away from the Ocean and provide free use toys for kids who don’t have any. This process wasn’t easy, but we overcame it by getting involved in my local town council meetings and pushing for an ordinance to be passed for the Toy Box.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m from St. Petersburg, so we’d have to visit the St. Pete Pier and St. Pete beach one day. Then, I’d take them to my favorite taco spots on the beach such as Burrito Social, Jake’s Coastal Cantina and V.I.P. After we eat we’d hit my local beach of Redington for a sunset and spill over to Smuggler’s Cove mini-golf to cap off the night. That’d be the perfect trip.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
