As both a Type A personality and attorney, I am naturally pretty risk averse. Leaving the comfort of a steady paycheck and a job I held for over a decade to start my own law firm is, by far, the biggest risk I have taken in my life…and I haven’t looked back for a second. I see risk-taking as essential for personal and professional growth. Over the past year, I’ve actively pursued what I want, removing self-doubt and embracing opportunities. As a Latina, it’s been about stepping out of my comfort zone, recognizing my worth, and being confident in my abilities.
