Meet Zyanya Uribe: Artist and Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zyanya Uribe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zyanya, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired by my feelings, plants, and botanical designs. 

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started off painting with acrylic on wood, and canvas and have recently expanded through quarantine to painting on terracotta. I love painting on various mediums but found terracotta to be one of my favorites. I have stayed busy throughout this time creating hand-painted pots with succulent arrangements inside of them, each uniquely different. I illustrate, paint, and create succulent arrangements. I love having a variety of options for my artwork. My story is far from finished but I’d like to just say that I’ve stayed very persistent and patient throughout my journey. I’ve had to experience many things throughout my route but art has always had my heart. I’m grateful to be able to express myself and thankful to all those who enjoy my artwork. I’ve hustled my way along and still continue to try and hustle with different ideas, I’m always finding new ways to showcase my work.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite spots would have to be in Anaheim, at the Anaheim Packing House, or in the Downtown Anaheim Area. There are many food choices that are amazing, great breweries, and a nice atmosphere. I would also have to include some painting or plant shopping because that’s just something I find so much joy in. In my mind, a great day would have to be something chill with good vibes, dope music, and some paint.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and culture have always played a huge role in my creative lifestyle. My dad would create tattoos out of our garage growing up. I grew up loving many colors and the freedom of art. Being an artist has influenced me in many ways because I am able to express my emotions through painting. I have a great supportive family and fiance who have helped me and always support my artistic ideas. I’m grateful to everyone who has ever shown me and my artwork love. I plan to continue creating and coming up with ideas for the years to come.
