We had the good fortune of connecting with Yana Barducov and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yana, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My ultimate goal is to build a strong community and help ordinary women create successful careers on Instagram. I want to empower them to believe in themselves, unlock their potential, and feel confident about pursuing their dreams. By the end of my career, I see myself as a mentor and leader who has inspired thousands of women around the world to be bold, independent, and successful

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an influencer who started my Instagram from scratch just a year and a half ago — with no connections or big resources. Since then, I have grown my audience to over half a million followers and collaborate with brands I once only dreamed of.

I also created my own signature course, The Art of Influence designed to help ordinary girls like me start earning from their blogs — without a producer or a large team.

I truly love what I do, cherish my audience, and find inspiration in every step of this incredible journey.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly, what I love the most are the waterfalls, so I’d definitely take my best friend to Niagara Falls first — it’s breathtaking and a truly unforgettable experience. After that, since I’m more drawn to nature and unique spots than just cafes or restaurants, I’d suggest exploring some beautiful parks around Toronto like High Park or the Toronto Islands for some fresh air and stunning views.

For a bit of culture and interesting places, I’d take them to the Aga Khan Museum — it’s modern and has fascinating exhibits that stand out from typical museums. Another great spot is the Ontario Science Centre, which is interactive and fun, especially if you enjoy learning new things.

I’d also recommend visiting the Distillery District — a historic area unique atmosphere that really captures Toronto’s creative spirit.

Overall, I’d focus on mixing nature, unique cultural spots, and memorable experiences to make the trip special.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
It may sound cliché, but I am deeply grateful to my family—my husband and sister—who have supported all my ideas and invested in them (lol). Special thanks to everyone who didn’t believe in me — their doubts became a powerful catalyst for my growth, pushing me to rely on myself and build everything from the ground up. Sometimes, when doors close, it forces you to find new paths and become stronger than you ever imagined.
