Meet Wolf | Filmmaker & Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Wolf and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Wolf, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Time is one of the most critical elements in content creation. Whether you’re creating a short video, a podcast, or a full-length film, managing time effectively across all stages—pre-production, production, and post-production—can make or break the final outcome. The art you see us create takes more than a moment/spark of creativity. It takes time and preparation to cultivate that end piece. Trust the process.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is a reflection of how I see the world. This is what sets me apart from others because no one else can see it exactly how I see it. When I was younger I used to film skate videos with my little brother. That’s where it all started. By no means was it easy. We lived in a very small town at the time and the internet was fairly new so there wasn’t much influence other than our imaginations. You don’t get better by just failing once. To this day I make it to a point where instead of thinking of every solution, I’d try them all. Ownership is the biggest thing you can do for yourself. What you do now is a reflection of your efforts and no one else’s.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love this question.
First I would take them to all the most iconic/photogenic spots that make up San Diego in my opinion. (i.e. Sunset Cliffs, Coronado Island, Scripps Pier)
Every night I’d take them to a different sunset spot. Some of them being secret ones.
As for food, I would have a different spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday. Just to name a few spots:
Java Earth Cafe
356 KBBQ
The Little Frenchie
Stella’s Ice Cream
In my eyes however, where we go for sunset would be the thing we lead up to every day because there’s something about a California sunset that’s like no other.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to give a big shoutout to Dale Carnegie who wrote the book called “How to Win Friends & Influence People.” This book changed my life in more ways than one. Both in my personal and my career.
