We had the good fortune of connecting with Will Meara and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Will, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Going with what “feels right” and not selling out. I have been offered multiple higher paying jobs that would have provided more financial stability in the auto industry, as well as the health and fitness field where I would have been making more money, but would not have been nearly as rewarding.

To me, life is about fulfillment, not necessarily “success”. One of my favorite quotes from Tony Robbins is “Success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure”. And I believe that to be 100% accurate. Working to make money is usually not the right mindset in my opinion. Do what you love for a living, do it with passion, and the money will follow.

When I have gone against my gut instinct, the universe has made it known when I am choosing the wrong path or am making the wrong decisions.

On the other hand, learning to connect and communicate with myself more and to be able to listen to that inner voice when it is speaking and trusting in it has been my superpower!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is I will not stop helping a client get to their desired result no matter what. If we are training online or in a gym, there could be a hundred different obstacles that could be keeping someone from achieving the results that they are looking for from nutrition to relationships to money issues to…you name it.

I have helped clients get out of abusive relationships, helped them with their finances, etc if those were the things that were keeping them from hitting their goals. I am not pretending to be an expert in all of these fields, but will help as much with these areas as I can until I think I need to refer out to a specialist.

I have referred people to mental health hospitals, etc when I have felt that is what was best for the client. I care. I will not take a payment from someone if I don’t believe that I can 100% give them what they are looking for within the time frame that they are expecting.

I help clients clarify what it is they really want, and will not stop until I help them get it.

Often times other trainers/coaches take payments from clients, but just go through the motions as far as what society has told them that a trainer does which usually just consists of exercise and maybe some light and or general talk about nutrition without getting their clients the results that they are paying them for.

That would be like if you walked into a department store in hopes to buy a new button down Polo shirt, but you ended up leaving with a turtle neck instead.

To me, it is unethical to take someone’s money without giving them exactly what they are paying for. At Infinity Coaching Services you are paying for a RESULT, not a service.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would start by setting up some yoga mats just before sunrise to meditate at either Kate Sessions Park, or Crown Point Park, both are in San Diego. Kate Sessions Park overlooks a good part of San Diego including the bay area and overlooks the coast. And Crown Point Park is right on the bay. Both Parks face East (when you are looking toward the water) which is the direction the sun rises from. And each park has it’s own unique sights. Both are promised to have amazing orange, pink and blue colors as the sun rises (with the exception of the months of May and June when the morning fog rolls in off of the ocean).

After connecting with nature and ourselves with a morning meditation then we would do something fun and active outside but nothing too intense. Could be a walk or bicycle ride at the gorgeous Balboa Park, snorkeling in La Jolla Cove, taking surfing lessons in Mission Bay, or volley ball at any of the local beaches.

After soaking up some sun and enjoying the beach scene then we would lift some weights at Fit Athletic Club in Mission Beach. This gorgeous upscale club overlooks the boardwalk plus has an amazing view of the ocean.

Then we would chill out and refuel after a day of sun, fun and activities by enjoying one of the many epic San Diego burrito locations, or indulge in some local seafood and/or sushi at Tower 23 or any similar upscale restaurant on the water as we watch the sun set over the ocean.

While an epic dinner is soaking in, we would then lay on a blanket and make a fire on Mission Beach as we star gaze and recap the amazing day that we just had in San Diego!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a special thanks to Sky Canine.

He is the one who recognized my talent immediately when I walked into a gym that he was consulting for and offered me a job as a trainer within 45 mins of meeting him. We connected right off the bat and can say that I am very lucky to have a few years of direct hands on training from him. I still consider him the greatest in the industry when it comes to getting people results. He promised to try his best to pour his 18 years of professional training into me as quickly as possible, and the training that I received was priceless.

His principles and training was heavy on ethics (what we truly believe is right and wrong), psychology, nutrition, and body mechanics.

After observing him train a few clients, I immediately knew that I wanted to learn what he was doing because I had never seen or experienced anything like it.

I originally imagined that I would be training athletes when I was offered my training job (which I did and still do). But Sky and I connected on a much deeper level. He opened up my eyes to the possibilities of training. Like literally saving lives, by helping people get off of all of their medications through proper nutrition and getting people moving consistently enough to see results. His training has helped me reduce the risk of health and weight related health issues in clients like Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Anorexia, Bulimia and I’m sure other ailments that I can not think of at them moment.

Without a doubt Sky has been the single most influential person I have had the pleasure to be around.
