Meet Tshiamo Tsoku | Marketing agency owner.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tshiamo Tsoku and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tshiamo, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Growing up in South Africa, I was taught to chase after my dreams without hesitation, to never let anyone else set the boundaries for what I could achieve.
Moving to the US and starting my own business was a huge leap for me, but it was fueled by my determination and eagerness for nurturing passions, sharpening skills and defining what freedom and happiness is to me.
I’ve learned that taking risks is just part of the journey. Sure, sometimes things don’t go as planned, but even in those moments, there are valuable lessons to be learned. Paulo Coelho said it best: “ There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
So, I’m just out here, embracing the lessons and blessings, knowing that each calculated risk I take helps me better serve the community through my work and promotes growth and happiness in my daily life.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started as a social media manager and noticed a growing demand for various quality marketing services. Drawing from my background in production, modeling, and artistic skills, coupled with a Bachelor’s degree in commerce and marketing management, I founded an all-in-one agency to cater to diverse marketing needs.
What sets us apart is my diverse skill set, honed from various industries, allowing us to strategize effectively and maintain high-quality media production. Additionally, I’m pursuing my master’s degree in software development and machine learning, aiming to integrate cutting-edge technology into our services, propelling us into the digital future.
Building the business wasn’t easy, especially in scaling and assembling a proficient team. However, I’ve learned that a strong team is crucial, and refining our processes has been key to overcoming challenges.
The most valuable lesson learned is to start with what you have and keep moving forward. Waiting for perfect conditions only delays progress. Consistency is more important than intensity. _Atomic habits.
Our brand’s story embodies the belief that regardless of background or circumstance, success is achievable through determination and a ton of work. So you might as well do what you love!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Monday: I’ll start by welcoming my friend from the airport with a delicious dinner prepared at home, complete with popcorn and other snacks for bonding. I might even pick up matching pajamas for us to wear while we relax, drink wine, take TikTok videos, and have a blast.
Tuesday: It’s time to dress up and explore the museums at Balboa Park. We’ll also swing by the San Diego Library to admire its architecture and check out some cool books, then grab tacos at Fridas in Escondido.
Wednesday: We’ll cook brunch together at home for a fun bonding activity. Since we haven’t had a fancy dinner yet, we might try a speakeasy like Mothership or Prohibition for a unique dining experience.
Thursday: The entire day is dedicated to the beach! We’ll pack a tent, beach toys, and plenty of sunscreen, and maybe invite some other friends to join us for a fantastic day by the sea. Either La Jolla cove for the seas lions or oceanside beach, the pier has awesome restaurants we can choose from. We would probably end the evening walking around gas lamp since it has such an awesome night ambiance.
Friday: We’ll take my camper for a drive along the coast, heading to a national forest in the desert, like Yosemite or Palm Springs, for a change of scenery.
Saturday: We’ll start the day with an early morning hike, followed by some relaxing naps, games, and maybe .even a group project to work on together.
Sunday: As the week comes to an end, we’ll drive back home, spend some time scrapbooking with friends, and get ready for my friend’s departure tomorrow.
