Meet Trevor Nguyen | Tattoo Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Trevor Nguyen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trevor, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Being a tattoo artist is not an easy task. It requires a high level of skill, creativity, and patience. Outsiders think this is an easy job all you gotta do is pick up the machine and draw on other people skin. The process of learning and mastering the art of tattooing can be challenging and time-consuming. Tattoo artists must constantly stay updated with the latest techniques, trends, and safety protocols. Additionally, dealing with different clients and their unique requests can be difficult, as artists need to understand and interpret their ideas accurately.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have learned so much in 3 years. I would say tattoo isn’t easy. It’s not something you pick up along as a side hidden l. You have to treat tattoo seriously and professionally. Otherwise you cannot stick for a long time. It depends on you to decide what type of tattoo artist you want to be. Business or Art it’s not easy at all, this career is a long journey you can’t learn to pull a straight line in one night. It will takes you months to years to master it. I have learned to treat my job professionally and respectfully. If you treat your job correctly it will treat you back 10 times better. I just want the world to understand tattoo is a form of Art and everyone should treat people who carry a tattoo and tattoo artist politely. As a member of Baron Art Tattoo I want the world knows that we can do the most simple design to the most complex tattoo design.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have lived in Orange County almost over 8 years now. The city has a lot of options for you from Asian cuisine to Western cuisine. If you are a person who like cocktail here are some bars for you Death & Co

Well first of all I want to give a big thanks to my mentor Nguyen Huu Chi Hieu ( Binx Recycle). Without my mentor I wouldn’t be able to make it today. He has taught me so much in tattoo and life.
