We had the good fortune of connecting with Tori Jensen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tori, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Owning your own business is ultimate freedom. It’s all on you to make it or break it, which can be scary but liberating. Stepping out in faith to start a business was easy in the sense that I feel so called to teach people about nutrition and can’t imagine doing anything else with this passion. On the hard days, that’s what sustains me. I go back to my original purpose and vision which allows me to move forward even when I have no clue where I’m going.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Nurse-titan was born by combining my specialties as a registered dietitian and nurse to help people reach their health and wellness goals. I’m a former athlete and love work with motivated individuals who are going willing to put in the work to see the changes they want. Nothing in life worth having comes easily.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
North County San Diego boasts some of the most beautiful coastline in America! Downtown Encinitas is the best for spending a lazy day by the beach. Start off with breakfast at Swamis Cafe, followed by a walk on the Coastal Rail Trail, and ending up at Cardiff State Beach. For lunch, pop over to Fish 101 and before heading back to the beach. For the best dinner in town, head over to Q’ero for Peruvian food. After you’re sufficiently stuffed, walk across the street to The Roxy for drinks and live music. All of this with an ocean breeze for that sunkissed beach look.
