We had the good fortune of connecting with Tommy Tozzi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tommy, how does your business help the community?
With the current state of the world; my leading thought in starting a business now was how can I create life lasting experiences in the physical and bring various age groups together at the same time. Hotline Hobby was born to do just that! Our mission is simple; bring hands on excitement and mechanical experiences to a world over indulged by digital experiences.

What should our readers know about your business?
In an industry where the demand for service is high, Hotline Hobby sets itself apart by focusing on just that. Rather than having a retail focus we take an outward approach in building experiences through our large radio control events and service with our mobile shops & toll-free one 1-800 hotline. Being the first mobile R/C shop and Track of its kind we are doing some thing that has not been done before! It all starts back at 12 years old when I was offered my first full-time job working at the local hobby store. The majority of my professional career has been in the luxury automotive business. I have taken much of that experience and almost 20 years later returned to the world of R/C! Since the inception of my idea for this business I’ve been challenged to think deeply about my intentions for what I want to create in the world. Hotline Hobby allows me to create experiences in the physical an introduce people of all ages into the world of motorsports!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were into R/C cars as much as me, I would take them to RC Vista in Vista CA and RC visions of Huntington Beach! Especially their monthly R/C sand drag races on the beach! It may be the coolest RC event in the country & it happens every month!

Ultimately we would make those stops, mixed in with dirt bikes in Glamis, a palm springs resort, or some amazing local food here in Oceanside! Shout out to ERIS Foodco!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Mom! There is absolutely no one in the world who wants for my success and happiness like she does! A true supporter with an amazing ability to want to understand and support me. I’d be doing her an injustice if I didn’t mention that so many other people in the world feel this way about her too. She is very much responsible for Hotline Hobby & it’s success!
