We had the good fortune of connecting with TIFFANY ARP-DALEO and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TIFFANY, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Social impact: how does your business help the community or the world? Art, in general, has a huge impact on society as a whole. Art can reflect what a community is feeling. Art can tell stories of triumph and pain, struggle and success. Art can also brighten up a mood, instill hope, and inspire with color, beauty, and raw emotion. I hope to influence others to find their creative voice. We all have a story, we all have something to contribute, how we share it is individual. Additionally, I have always been an advocate of recycling, and global preservation. I will reuse just about everything, in some form or another as many times as I can. I reuse canvases, paint, and supplies, recycle magazines, newspapers, and random objects, nothing is off limits! I practice what I preach, recycle whenever possible. We have a voice and a presence in the world, we need to act together and do the right thing!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a professional artist, I am still learning! I am still developing my unique style, the thing that sets my work apart. But, I love discovering new techniques, new products, and styles of creating original artwork, I hope that part never ends! I do love blending styles, products, techniques and experimenting with everything! I hope to never be labeled as any one type of artist, I want to keep growing and developing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As a San Diego native, I love to introduce new visitors to my city! Of course, it depends on the persons’ interests and their activity level, but everyone must visit Balboa Park. Make it a full day and visit a few of the museums, and don’t miss lunch at Panama 66 in the park, the San Diego Zoo is next door! For the young and curious visit North Park, Hillcrest, South Park and don’t miss Little Italy and the Gaslamp District. For the hiking and outdoors people I recommend Torrey Pines for a hike with an ocean view, LaJolla and Del Mar for the photographers, Coronado for the best beaches, and there is great food everywhere! Make a point to visit Liberty Station for a quick round of golf, or great food and shopping!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to the art community of San Diego! We all need to support each other and embrace this incredible time in history where our voices, and our artwork, can speak volumes! Oh, and my wonderful husband who has given me nothing but love and support to pursue my passion for making art, without his support, nothing would happen.
