Meet Tiara Daring | Crochet Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiara Daring and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiara, what are you inspired by?
Every day people inspire me. Watching what everybody wears on different occasions and just taking a mental note of the style everybody has and what message they’re trying to portray. As well as clothes I see either in the mall or online trying to recreate into crochet is a nice challenge. Shows, movies, music, all around any life I have personally experienced that catches my eye is a form of inspiration

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Getting where I am today in an enjoyable creative space again was challenging Doing this for two years now, starting as a hobby and then trying to profit from it, was a lot more challenging than I thought. There was a lot of self-doubt due to comparing myself to my peers on social media. I concluded that for me to get out of that slump, I must run my own race. I did this by adjusting my focus.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
All of my dear friends who have put their input in made me think long and hard about how I want to run this brand and how or what I should do to portray the message I want to spread. I value my friend’s perspectives on how things are perceived to them. I’d say people I’ve met vending, creative meetups, and school inspired me to grow CraftedByT and personally.
