We had the good fortune of connecting with Stu Weintraub and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stu, what do you want people to remember about you?
My personal mission is to inspire minds, heal hearts and awaken souls. I do this by writing, speaking, coaching and and facilitating exclusive and experiential Waves of Love Healing retreats for individuals, couples, families and corporate teams. As a multi-faceted stereotypical sagittarius and a Human Design of Manifesting Generator, I have a wide variety of passions and interests, and was put on earth to start new projects. A lot of them! And that’s what I love to do. I am obsessed with ideas that make things better, social impact events that help people improve their lives, and offering transformational healing, coaching and retreats that facilitate positive change in people’s lives. Because I’m an intuitive and creative visionary, I have no shortage of things that are exciting and interesting for me, but when it comes to legacy, what matters most is this: I made a difference. I left an impact. The social impact work I did, the words I wrote and spoke, and the events I facilitated moved people’s hearts and minds and expanded their souls. The day of my funeral, I hope there are many people who cared enough about me to actually take time off of work to show up. I hope there are many people who tell my son stories about who I was and what I did that helped them. I hope I am remembered for who I was, not just what I accomplished. I hope my “Love Before Law” and “Waves of Love” work lives on for 7 generations. I hope my son is proud of me and that he tells stories about me to his children and grand-children. In short, I was a man who overcame many obstacles, never quit on his visions and dreams, made a difference in the lives of millions of people, and in short, lived a life that mattered.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As the Founder of numerous business and social impact ventures, I think what sets me apart from others, is that I am highly intuitive. I don’t learn things in school or by reading books or watching books. I simply “know” them. I get ideas and visions all day long. Non-stop. In the shower, in the car, sitting on the couch watching TV… And while I enjoy a lifestyle of luxury, I am not motivated by money. I am motivated by being of service as well as my incessant need to be creatively starting and “giving birth” to new things. I plant seeds, nurture them and once they sprout, I start more things! Other people may not understand this, but this is what my passion is. In addtion, I am constantly getting new ideas and manifesting amazing new ventures and I don’t just hold onto them, I help others with their dreams, visions, personal lives and business success. The most exciting venture for me right now, is the “Waves of Love” Brand. From a simple piece of art that my son made and gifted to me on Father’s Day when he was 16 years old, this brand has grown and the vision has expanded to be enormous and extremely impactful to people. In addition to his “Heart-Centered Art”, Waves of Love is now positioned to be a conscious community offering non-religious spiritual support, it is also a music and art festival, a global postcard campaign, a TEDx talk (my second), a children’s book, and also the name of my healing practice that includes experiential and exclusive workshops and retreats. What the world needs now is Love, and it’s recession proof and universally accepted by all people on all parts of the globe. And it’s my passion to help people get unblocked from love and share the message that “When we send out love, we get love back”.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When my friends come to visit, assuming they have never been to San Diego, I would first take them out sailing on San Diego Bay, followed by a jacuzzi at the marina. After that, we’d go to dinner at Nonna in Little Italy. The next day, we would go to the beach. My favorite beach is Moonlight in Encintas. I’d have to get them In-n-Out burger and as many fish tacos as they can handle during the week. An essential part of the visit would be a bike ride around Coronado and a hike in Elfin Forest. For dinner, we would grill burgundy tri-tip aka “Cardiff Crack” from Seaside Market in Cardiff. That evening we would hear live band at the Belly Up Tavern and end the night at the Kraken. I would definitely take them to yoga at Soul of Yoga, sound healing ceremony, bonfire at moonlight beach, and a stroll through the meditation gardens in Encinitas.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Over the course of my professional career, there have been countless people who have encouraged, supported, mentored and loved me through difficult times. My mother has always believed in my huge visions and grandiose dreams, and never failed to encourage me, no matter what. My father has always lovingly reminded me of the realities of business success which, although annoyed my creative pie-in-the-sky creative visionary personality, but it kept me grounded. As a young boy, my father taught me how to be an entrepreneur. He gave me ideas on how to provide basic services to people in the neighborhood, taught me the importance of looking someone in the eye, offering a firm hand shake, and asking for the job. He also taught me one of the most valuable lessons of business… “It never hurts to ask…” Although my parents were integral in my success, the one who is most worthy of recognition is my son, Jared. He is my “why”. When I consider my work and my success, it is because I want to leave him the best legacy and lessons, so this motivates me to always be and do my best.
