We had the good fortune of connecting with Sid & Danielle from THE RUED and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sid & Danielle, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
THE RUED was created through artistic expression. We were all musicians, on solo projects, but once we all got together we realized, this music, THESE songs, were special. We thought let’s take this art, decorate it with our expertise in music, and give it away to the world. Whether the words meant something to you, or if you just wanted to groove, THE RUED was created to impact your day. THE RUED is an outlet to encourage any person to embrace the day and dance their hearts away.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The music cascades multiple genres, with major influence from pop, disco & jazz. Often paired with intense storylines, the fast beat disguises the fiery message. It is our impassioned connection to the music that has made us successful. Of course, It has not always been easy to spread our music,. Navigating the music industry is no task for the fragile. But when you lead with passion and stay true to the reason it was all started in the first place, it is easier to trust the process, and celebrate every moment along the way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Day one- Cruise to blacks beach and catch a vibe. (21+). Stay there till the sun looks like its about to start setting & head over to The Plot in Oceanside for some of the best vegan food in town. End the night at the Roxy Encinitas and listen to a variety of groovy bands. Day two- Wake up when the sun wakes you. Go to Milk Organics in Vista for a vegan breakfast sandy and head to West Street Beach in Laguna to skin board and people watch. Maybe bring a journal or a guitar and write some music. End the day at the carlsbad cliffs with a lawn chair and a speaker. Crank the RUED.
Day three-Catalina Island, finish your day at Belly Up for our live show!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
