Meet Scott Browning | PCH Hot Dogs Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott Browning and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Scott, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I grew up in the Valley where I would go to Pink’s Hot Dogs every Friday with my uncle after we went surfing. I moved to Southern California and there was not a place that sold hot dogs. I wanted to keep the tradition alive with my uncle and bring that family feeling to other people through food. Besides hot dogs being my favorite food it was also a staple for creating family. So I started my own business because of my love for hot dogs and keeping that family feeling alive.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our business is what sets us apart from others. We are a hot dog stand with a beach feel. We have a surfboard that people can “ride” on, we play surfing music and all of our menus are on surfboards. We bring beach vibes wherever we go. Our hot dogs are old school with the snap when you bite into them and are all beef hot dogs. We have french fries and tacos made to order and of course our famous PCH Chili Dog. All of our ingredients are fresh and every order is made in front of you. We are most proud to have our family business open for 28 years and are looking to pass it down to the net generation. Our customers (PCH locals) have become a part of our family and we love that we can spread the love and surfing vibes through our food.
We want the world to know that we are a true family business. I opened in 1995 and now my kids work there. We have had the same employees since the beginning of our opening and we have become one family that gives back to the families in our community.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
PCH Hot Dogs is automatic to bring our friends and family to!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my Uncle John and all of my staff who help keep our family business running smoothly
