We had the good fortune of connecting with Rudi Fate and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rudi, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
This question is right on time, because it’s been something I’ve been battling with lately. I want to be an entertainer, but not just anyyyy entertainer. A global one that goes on tour often, has many streams of income, a lovely home, and generational wealth. Let’s just say I’m far from all those hopes and dreams mentioned. So of course I am asking myself…”Ru, is it time to give up? Is it time to let this childhood dream go? You have bills to pay, wouldn’t a more stable job bring you peace?” My mind says yes. My heart says no. I guess until my heart follows suite…I have no choice but to keep going.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
If you want to know who I truly am at soul level, listen to my music. There, I am my most vulnerable, most honest, most ruthless self. My first album “Alchemy” is my story of pain, pleasure, depression, joy and then rebirth. I gave my heart and soul to that project. I often tell myself that all the challenges I have been through aren’t in vain because I’m able to create masterpieces from them all. I want the world to just listen to what I have to say. Why? Because I’m one of few who are still dedicating their lives on the daily to create peace on Earth. I don’t just talk to talk. I talk to move mountains.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First things first, we are grabbing a lavender black tea latte with oat milk from Better Buzz. Maybe some avocado toast if we’re hungry. If we want a juice, we will go to Citrina Berry Fresh in National City. We are definitely doing a beach tour. Starting in IB and finishing in Encinitas at Moonlight Beach to watch the infamous sunset. I tend to be a homebody, so I would probably prepare a bonfire at my house while we sip wine, smoke a joint & talk about the stars. I love vegan food, so we definitely have to visit Grains and Evolution (home to the best vegan carne asado tacos).
