We had the good fortune of connecting with Rekha Morar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rekha, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Over time, my balance has undergone a significant transformation, especially as I navigate the dual roles of being a realtor and a beauty entrepreneur. Initially, the juggling act was quite challenging, with the unpredictability that comes with real estate responsibilities like showing homes and attending listing appointments. My days were often characterized by spontaneity and adaptability.

As I gained more experience and insight into managing these diverse responsibilities, I realized the importance of bringing structure into my routine. This evolution has made me more organized and efficient in utilizing my time. Instead of the earlier ad-hoc approach, I now have dedicated days allocated for specific tasks in both my real estate and beauty business.

The shift towards a more structured routine has not only enhanced my productivity but has also allowed me to better prioritize and manage my commitments. I’ve learned to optimize my time and energy by focusing on specific aspects of each role on designated days, which ultimately contributes to a more balanced and fulfilling professional life.

Overall, I now approach balance as an ongoing process of refinement, acknowledging that flexibility and adaptability are crucial in both the real estate and beauty industries. By maintaining this balance and adapting to the evolving demands of my dual roles, I’ve found a rhythm that allows me to thrive as a realtor and beauty entrepreneur.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My professional journey has been both challenging and rewarding, with a focus on North Austin areas like Leander, Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Liberty Hill. What excites me most is helping first-time homebuyers and those with furry companions – dogs!

Getting to where I am today hasn’t been an effortless journey, but overcoming challenges has been an integral part of my growth. Having a mentor who is not only seasoned in the industry but also exceptionally skilled has played a pivotal role. Learning from her expertise has provided me with valuable insights and equipped me to navigate the complexities of the real estate landscape.

One of the key lessons I’ve learned along the way is the importance of being a true value-add for my clients. I’ve never been one to adopt a pushy or salesy approach. Instead, I find joy in understanding the unique challenges my clients face and working collaboratively to find solutions. Whether it’s a relocation issue, a commute concern, or any other reason driving a home sale or purchase, my focus is on resolving their problems rather than simply selling a property.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is the genuine passion I have for assisting people in finding their ideal homes. It’s not just about closing deals; it’s about creating positive and meaningful experiences for my clients. I derive immense satisfaction from being a part of their journey, helping them navigate the intricacies of the real estate process, and ultimately finding a solution that suits their needs.

In summary, my career in real estate is fueled by a commitment to providing value, a disdain for the conventional sales approach, and a genuine desire to help people solve their unique challenges in the property market. I look forward to continuing this journey, assisting more first-time homebuyers, and welcoming new clients with dogs into their dream homes.
