We had the good fortune of connecting with Quentin Minor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quentin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I honestly didnt have one! I was in highschool, and this guy asked if I wanted to start a band. I’d been playing music since age 5, and had picked up the drums in highschool.

I’ve always had a bit of a business sense with the band, I think much moreso than my peers did at that age. I just knew that if I was going to do anything, I wanted to do it as efficiently as possible.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We’re just a bunch of hardworking, fun-loving guys. The current lineup have all headed their own projects at one point or another. We’ve all had to be “the guy,” and that really helps us move things along since we’re all motivated and business-minded.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Haha, I’m not a great person to ask. I’m a total hermit! I spend my time inside practicing, programming, or playing video games usually. On a good night I’m playing D&D. If I was going to leave the house, I really like SF’s academy of sciences. They have a cool albino alligator. Toot’s Tavern in Crockett is a great place for live music too!

My guitar player & right-hand man. This band has been through a ton of lineup changes, and you’ve been the only person to stick it through.

I wouldn’t be a drummer without this man letting me ruin his lunch hour for 3 years straight! Three years of poorly playing ‘Enter Sandman’ and ‘Dont talk to strangers’ with my headphones in really helped to lay the groundwork for where I am now.
