We had the good fortune of connecting with Priscilla Molina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Priscilla, what do you attribute your success to?
Trust has definitely been the driving factor behind my and my brands success. Being trusted with thousands of faces and bodies really gives perspective to serving others. Also, the trust that each person gives me when deciding to take my course instead of another is truly something- after all they are entrusting me with their new career, their life, their livelihood.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The art that I create through cosmetic and medical tattooing results in natural and undetectable outcomes. I strive for these outcomes as some people don’t want drastic or exaggerated looks.

It’s taken me years to perfect my art. Creating and perfecting my own niche required practice and lots of money to learn from the best artists out there.

The journey of owning a business is definitely not for all, but definitely was for me. I’m currently learning that I cannot do everything on my own. That living a balanced life is so important, especially if I can’t afford to retire any time soon. I’ve learned that in order to scale my business and grow even more, I need to trust others. I guess its kinda’ funny- its hard for me to trust others, yet thousands have trusted me.

Growing up in East Lost Angeles, I sometimes felt like that was all life had to offer me; growing up in a low income area where gangs and graffiti dominated- but something had always whispered to me that I was destined for more- I knew I was destined for more and wanted more.  Through my years of trying to figure out my career or goal in life, some curve balls were thrown at me, with loss, heartbreaks, unhealthy relationships and mental illness was all against me, except my faith!

My faith found me and kept me, I leaned toward my faith in my mid 30’s and that is what continued to guide me.  It taught me that my selfish ways were not THE way and learned to serve others instead of myself.   Because in the end, and in the beginning, the reason for starting my business was and is to serve others!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Given that it is halloween season, definitely do a Disneyland Day, and maybe even a Knotts Scary Farm night! Fill the weekend with some sun bathing and basking in Laguna Beach, Brunch at Las Brisas, take a day to discover all the new resturaunts and lounges in San Diego and a day in DTLA for some art culture and shopping.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Definitely my clients and students! Honestly, without them (and of course my Lord and savior), this venture and the success of my career and business would be nothing without them. So I owe my success to all who trust me. Thank you!
