Meet Perri Grant | The Bling Queen

We had the good fortune of connecting with Perri Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Perri, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was watching ‘The Housewives of Atlanta’ and Nene Leakes was throwing a dinner for her friends. She had reusable bedazzled straws for her friends, I loved the straws and tried to find some for myself. When I had no success finding them online or in stores, I decided to make my own. That was the start of The Glamorous Bling Queen.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love bedazzling and creating products as it’s therapeutic to me. Making my customers happy is another thing I love. I sent Molly Hopkins and Cynthia Decker from TLC’s ‘90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk’ one of my bedazzled wine glass and they have used it on the show 4-5 times. Seeing something I made on TV excites me. Even though I have been working on my business since 2018, I haven’t even scratched the surface yet as I still have a lot of work to do. Nothing is easy and trying to get people to trust your products is hard. It doesn’t matter how many times my products were on national TV or how many times people tag me on their Instagram page, it doesn’t generate orders. Nonetheless, I’m okay with where I’m at. I trust the process, love what I do, and will continue to work hard.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For lunch, I would take my friend to Waterbar in Pacific Beach for the view of the Pacific Ocean as it is stunning. For dinner, I would take them to my favorite restaurant, Puesto’s, for drinks followed by Altitude sky lounge for some good music, amazing views and a night cap. I love Miguel’s Cocina Portside pier for the view as well. I can’t get enough of it.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shoutout to my husband! Without his continued support, I couldn’t do what I do now. I would also like to give a shoutout to my friends and family who continue to support me.
