We had the good fortune of connecting with Ontwanet Moran and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ontwanet, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Since forever, I’ve dreamt of creating a legacy of generational wealth for my family. I started out in real estate, but the crowded market left me seeking a new path. I have a fashion production company with two of my best friends call OnLaVe Signature Production. Were we produce and choreograph fashion shows. I love it. I was still looking to find the vehicle that will help me create the life I wanted. That’s when I discovered the allure of the financial industry, a space known for sculpting numerous success stories. Unbeknownst to me, this personal mission would evolve into something greater, touching the lives of families and future generations. My journey in finance has become a testament to the impactful ripple effect of strategic financial decisions, and it’s been incredibly rewarding.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m on a mission to tackle the widespread issue of financial illiteracy, affecting over 4.5 billion people globally. My passion lies in helping families break free from the cycle of debt, unwise spending, and financial uncertainty, empowering them to take charge of their financial future. It brings me immense joy to provide individuals with the financial education, tools, and solutions needed to transform their approach to finances.

Through a commitment to mentorship and leadership, I’ve been able to build my business on a proven system that has created numerous millionaires. Taking inspiration from successful individuals, I’ve embraced the philosophy of mirroring those who are already where I aspire to be. The unwavering support and mentorship I’ve received from those invested in my success have been pivotal in the continuous growth and expansion of my business.

In the world of business, a key challenge I’ve observed is the absence of a robust system and mentors. Yet, the most significant hurdle often lies in mental toughness, recognizing that 90% of business success is rooted in one’s mindset. Regular personal and leadership development has been a cornerstone in navigating challenging times, where persistence was crucial. Building my business has not only taught me about financial impact but has also reinforced the belief that our purpose on this earth is to make a lasting positive influence.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have the daily opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives, knowing that this influence will echo through generations. In my own words, ‘I impact lives, leaving an afterglow that inspires the NATION.’

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a perfect day out, I would treat my friend to a relaxing morning at Glen Ivy, where we could unwind and enjoy the serene atmosphere. Following that, we would indulge in a delightful meal at one of Hillstone Restaurant Group’s exceptional locations, eating delicious cuisine in a comfortable ambiance. To add a touch of retail therapy, we’d explore some nearby shops. Finally, we’d head to the beach to relish the beautiful weather and scenic views, rounding off the day with a perfect blend of relaxation, culinary delights, shopping, and nature’s beauty.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to give a big shout-out to my amazing mom and dad—they are truly the anchors of my success. My dad has been my guiding force, encouraging me to believe in myself and approach everything with a leadership mentality. He’s taught me the power of confidence and resilience. On the other hand, my mom has been my source of compassion, emphasizing the importance of treating others with kindness, caring for those around us, and living by the principle of treating people how you want to be treated. The delicate balance between my dad’s leadership lessons and my mom’s nurturing guidance has created a strong foundation, not only in my personal life but also in the way I navigate my business endeavors.
