Meet Nikki Neal | Female Cigar Roller & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikki Neal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nikki, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business was never just about being my own boss—it was about building a platform where creativity, culture, and community could thrive. I saw a gap in the event space for experiences that felt personal, elevated, and deeply intentional, especially when it came to cigar culture and hands-on activations like custom hat bars and cold brew branding.
As a woman and minority entrepreneur, I also wanted to create space in industries where we’re often underrepresented. That desire turned into Eleveight Events, which now houses Onesie Crew Hat Productions, our nationwide cigar roller network, a cold brew company, and an event demo business. It’s more than a business—it’s a movement rooted in authenticity, high standards, and unforgettable moments. I wanted to create something that felt like a celebration of tradition and innovation all at once.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My “art” is creating experiences—elevated, immersive, and unforgettable ones. Whether it’s the elegance of a hand-rolled cigar at a luxury wedding, the expression of individuality through a custom hat at a brand activation, or the craftsmanship behind our cold brew branding, I believe in curating moments that connect people to culture, tradition, and style.
What sets us apart is that we’re not just another event vendor—we are storytellers and brand builders. Our team of cigar rollers, many of whom are women and trained artisans, work events from coast to coast. We’re proud to collaborate with powerhouse brands like Ferrari, Formula 1, and NFL teams. But what excites me the most is the joy people feel when they experience something unexpected—like watching a cigar being rolled live or crafting their own signature hat on the spot.
Getting here wasn’t easy. I’ve had to break into spaces that weren’t always built for people who look like me. As a woman and minority business owner, there were times I had to fight twice as hard to be taken seriously. I learned early on that consistency, excellence, and vision are louder than any doubt. I’ve also learned the power of community—surrounding yourself with people who believe in your mission makes all the difference.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s that we don’t play small. We show up fully. Eleveight Events is about impact, intention, and inspiration. We’re not just creating events—we’re shaping culture, empowering underrepresented talent, and leaving legacies one experience at a time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Christ Jesus and My devoted Husband, Jareese Neal.
