We had the good fortune of connecting with Natasha Wooden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natasha, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is positive energy. I devote all my energy to making each candle. My family is very important as well. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have a lot of the advertising tools I need. Great customer service allows me to grow as an entrepreneur. I always say “I can’t grow if I don’t know.”

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what sets me apart from others is that making candles is a healing and sacred experience for me and it’s felt (smelled) through my candles. I get excited whenever I hear customers say how my candles make them feel or what memories they get. Starting wasn’t and still isn’t easy. But it’s a great learning experience. With the help of family and mentors it helps out a lot. I have learned to never compete with anyone instead learn and teach together.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite places to eat are at the local taco shops and sushi bars. I like going to the marina and parks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a huge shout out to all my family and friends for always supporting me physically, mentally, and spiritually. For keeping me grounded and humble. Thank you for sitting with me at shows, bringing me food, or just relieving me to go to the bathroom. Always promoting my products. But there would be no KaliGirl Kreations without my nephew Elijah and niece Summer. They have both created so many logos, flyers, business cards and soon to be website.
