We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalia Favela and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Honestly starting my own business started off as as an accident, it was something on the side that I did for fun! At first I would just show up whenever friends would need a bartender, but I quickly realized I had a passion and excitement for event planning and crafting up cocktails. I had no prior experience in business but I learned everything as I went along and was able to figure it out during my first year. I never imagined Bloom to take off like it did, I’ve had fully booked out months to the point i decided to expand and purchase a second bar as well as hire employees in order to fulfill more event inquires. This has been such an exciting year and its amazing to look back at all Bloom has accomplished.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe what sets Bloom apart from others is because freshness and authenticity is our top priority, I refuse to be just any other mobile bar that serves cocktails made with artificial and fake ingredients. At Bloom, we ensure that all our juices, syrups and purees are all homemade as well as authentic. Growing up in Mexico I was raised with fresh juice straight from the source, most juices in America consist of artificial flavors, harmful dyes and added on sugars. While choosing the generic bar ingredients route may be cheap and less time consuming, it also delivers a very low quality experience and taste. I will always go the extra mile to ensure my ingredients are all natural,. fresh and organic… its a difference you can undeniably taste! We also offer mocktail options for our guests who choose to opt out from alcohol. Our mocktails deliver an incredibly delicious alternative with health conscious benefits.
The first year was a lot of trail an error and learning how to value myself. When i focus on something i make sure to put my 110% into it but would never value the work I do. Nowadays, I ensure I deliver a high quality experience as well as placing high worth on myself too. Its been not only a business journey but a personal growth journey as well. Starting this business has helped me grow and develop so much as an individual and tap into what I truly love, which is creating a special and unique experience for my clients. Its taught me to stay authentic in who I am and always go the extra mile because quality is something that you cannot replace nor cheap out on. I hope to keep crafting up cocktails and creating a memorable experience for my clients on their special days!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely love being outdoors and exploring delicious new food. My favorite spots would have to be Old Town for some food, The Harbor for some beautiful views, or Balboa Park for history and culture. San Diego is very diverse city that has endless activities to do. Another fun activity i like to do is go by the water weather its vacation island or Mission Bay, walking alongside the water is super calming and offers a wide range of water activities such as jet skiing and paddle boarding. In terms of nightlife, I love checking out speakeasies and gourmet restaurants throughout Little Italy and Downtown.

Bloom was built entirely on word of mouth referrals, so I want to thank every single person who has spoke highly of me and my business because if it wasnt for you then I wouldn’t be where I am today. It absolutely warms my heart to know that people support me and recommend me when searching for a reliable and creative mobile bartender. Referrals have such a profound impact on a business because people tend to trust recommendations from friends and family far more than traditional advertising. When a satisfied customer shares their experience, it carries more weight than any marketing because it comes from a personal, trusted source. I want to recognize and thank all of those who have supported this journey and that continue sharing my business as I continue expanding and growing this year!
