We had the good fortune of connecting with Myranda Otero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myranda, what makes you happy? Why?
What makes me happy is the colors and art that surround us every day. I love noticing small artistic details in unexpected places. We are constantly covered in a massive array of colors, and taking the time to notice those small moments is the true joy of life. Being able to express myself artistically in everything I do, even how I present myself, is my favorite part of my day.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is all about self-expression through both makeup and painting. I started as an acrylic painter, and through that, I discovered a deeper love for makeup—seeing it as another medium to create, blend, and transform. Makeup, to me, is more than just enhancing features; it’s an artistic outlet that allows me to tell stories, evoke emotions, and celebrate individuality. What sets me apart is my ability to find inspiration in the smallest details—whether it’s the way colors mix on a canvas or how light interacts with different textures.

Getting to where I am today professionally wasn’t easy. Like many artists, I faced self-doubt, creative blocks, and the challenge of standing out in a competitive industry. But I stayed committed to my vision, continuously learned, and embraced every opportunity to grow. I overcame challenges by staying true to my unique style, putting in the work, and not being afraid to take risks.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that authenticity is everything. Trends come and go, but staying true to your creative voice is what makes an impact. I want the world to know that my brand is about more than just makeup—it’s about empowering others to embrace their creativity, confidence, and individuality. My journey from acrylic painting to makeup artistry is a testament to the power of passion and persistence, and I hope to inspire others to express themselves unapologetically.
