Meet Monica Bandini | Mind & Body Professional Yoga & Meditation Teacher. Creator. Entrepreneur.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Bandini and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monica, how do you think about risk?
I believe the reward of taking risks is not actually winning or losing; the reward is evolution.
I feel like I’ve lived 4 lifetimes in one. I’ve gone with the flow as best I can, and even though it might be painful, life is a cycle of rebuilding your identity. If ever I feel too comfortable, that’s my signal to make a change.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
In our society, we’ve been taught how to thrive in chaos, but it’s simply not sustainable. By teaching Yoga, I feel I’m contributing to a new normal. Yoga is a tool for grounding and helps us maintain inner peace. It makes me so happy that I’m able to teach others how use Yoga as that tool toward peace. We have the power and free will to own both our inner and outer worlds, but we shouldn’t have to do it alone. We should be able to rely on our community for guidance and support, and, for me, teaching Yoga is a way to provide that support!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d start off by taking my friend to a beautiful meditation temple named Lake shrine, after we would grab lunch at my favorite vegan pizza spot named Double Zero in Venice. Next we would sunbathe in the Malibu sands and finish it off with an evening sound bath healing with a local friend named Ana Netanel.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My children who keep me grounded & inspire me to be my best self & who help me remain in my authenticity. Everything I do is for them.
