We had the good fortune of connecting with Mitch Musicant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mitch, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
The education and knowledge involved with the detailing industry, breaking down the science of paints and the protection of those substances.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being a detailing professional definitely has its challenges, everyone thinks all you need is a bucket and some water. There is much more that goes in to it, educating customers to help them protect there investments (vehicles). I get really excited when I have a customer tell me the car looks better than when they purchased it. Then teaching them how to care for it properly is a a key to success. Unfortunately there are detailers out there without the proper education to care for vehicles without damaging them.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are blessed here in San Diego with weather as well a location. There is so much to do in this city has to offer. We could start downtown for a Padre game, then hit the gaslamp for some dinner and drinks at Water Bar. We would hit the beach in LaJolla or Pacific Beach (Law st, La Jolla shores, dinner at the Marine Room. Checking out the Zoo or Sea World, hiking Cowles Mountain or Patato Chip Rock. That’s just a few options available.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Most definitely my family has been a big supporter of my success. When I first started my kids were in single digits, throughout the years as they grew so did the support that I received from my family.
