We had the good fortune of connecting with Michele Coombs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michele, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Born and raised in the Windy City of Chicago. I’m all about relationships. I’ve had much success with my strong knowledge of building effective and creative partnerships. Whether it’s the love of a couple getting married, the gathering of friends and family or the collaboration of creative partners, the connections made is what fuels my passion.

Through my imaginative designs, expert resources, and supportive services, I have utilized my varied background to create seamless and heartfelt celebrations. My unique combination of sincerity, professionalism, and adaptability brings warmth and organization to every event.

What should our readers know about your business?

Everyone has a story to tell, and I am no different. Distinctively Made Event Planning & Design is the husband-and-wife team of Dan & Michele. We have so much in common but are truly distinctively made. Together with years of leadership and entrepreneurship Dan and Michele decided to move to the Central Coast of California and create Distinctively Made Event Planning and Design.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Great partnerships develop from transparency, honesty, and inclusivity, and we pride ourselves on creating an environment where clients receive precisely that. Everyone deserves to be celebrated – no matter their race, sexual orientation, background, or beliefs. Each Distinctively Made Event is a unique experience reflective of the people we are serving.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Distinctively Made Event Planning & Design is located on the Central Coast of California. Our office is in the Santa Ynez Valley. Santa Ynez Valley is famous for its wineries. I would definitely take them wine tasing at some of the best wineries in town.

We would also have to visit a small little Dutch town called Solvang.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family, which has always been my biggest supporters.
