Meet Micah Queja | Actor & Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Micah Queja and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Micah, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Me being a creative soul, I definitely needed an outlet. I’m fully aware that I’m an individual that does need attention. Modeling and acting gave me that outlet to perform and mellow me out for the other parts of everyday life. It even helps me stay more focused and work harder knowing I have a “performance” in the near future.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
For me it was definitely a journey to get to where I am today, but was definitely worth it. A lot of it had to do with me showing others that I was the right person for the job or role by making them see what I saw in myself. Being multi-Racial, my look is a little different. But once people were able to see my enthusiasm and talent, people could start to see me in these positions. Where originally they might have had something else in mind. When I was younger I was trying to be someone else cause I wasn’t as confident, and was continuously overlooked. It wasn’t until I was truly confident in myself for who I was, then things started to progress for my career.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One place that is a gem to San Diego is Kono’s in Pacific Beach. Definitely starting off the day with breakfast at the beach. Food always taste better with a view, especially right on the beach. What’s great about San Diego is that all of our beaches have a different vibe. Each one is unique for food, shopping, scenery, and adventures. Then after a long day at the beach grabbing some hot pot or Korean bbq in the Clairemont area. There are so many choices, I don’t know where to start. But it’s good if you’re in the mood for somewhere new. Then after down to the Gaslamp for socializing and drinks to end the night.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely want to shoutout Malani from Wildflower Photography and Harlan from 1831 Media Company. They have allowed me to work with them on so many projects covering all facets of artistic media. We make magic every time we collaborate.
