Hi melissa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Ever since I migrated to the States, I had this vision of running a coffee business that honors our roots and culture.

Our journey for the finest coffee took us back to our homeland, weaving through the breathtaking landscapes of Colombia. We’re here to share with you a specialty cup that’s more than just a beverage—it’s a sensory voyage.

My Mission is to serve up the most authentic, sustainable coffee while building deep connections within our community and supporting the dedicated farmers back home.

In Spanish, “Intuicion” means the whisper of the soul, perfectly encapsulating the essence of our venture—”Coffee for the Soul.” Come join us on this soulful adventure!

I returned to my home country: Medellin, Colombian in 2021 and immediately fell in love with the stories of the local coffee farmers. Intucion Cafe was born on 11-11-22.

Our countryside community sees coffee as a lifestyle, which has been embraced from generation to the next regardless of the difficulties and the lack of resources.

We pride ourselves on our ethical sourcing making sure that paying our local farmers is focused on sustainability because we know every seed planted is a gift from the land.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart is our product, we import our specialty coffee beans directly from Colombia. Working directly with local farmers in places like Antioquia, Intuición Café has launched five different types of specialty coffee that has been graded 80 points or higher on a 100-point scale by the The Specialty Coffee Association (SCAA).

Intuicion Cafe is a mobile coffee cart with full-service espresso bar in the greater San Diego Area. Our pride lies in ethical sourcing, ensuring fair compensation for our local Colombian farmers with a keen focus on sustainability, recognizing that each planted seed is a precious gift from the land.

Inspired by nature, we meticulously hand-select, process, and roast our cherries in small batches, delivering a fresh and meaningful experience to your special gathering.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take them to amazing local coffee shops, sunset cliffs to watch the sunset, balboa park for a day stroll, hiking at Torrey pines, a picnic at Kate sessions.

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to my husband for his unwavering support throughout my entrepreneurial journey, particularly as I embark on this exciting new venture of launching a mobile coffee cart business. Your encouragement, understanding, and belief in my dreams have been invaluable every step of the way. From late nights brainstorming ideas to early mornings setting up the cart, your presence and support have made all the difference. I couldn’t ask for a better partner to share this adventure with.
