We had the good fortune of connecting with Martin Fine /Photo Digital Artist and Fine Art Photographer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Martin Fine /Photo Digital Artist and Fine Art Photographer, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Photography, anywhere, anytime……WORLDWIDE! I had assignments to photograph architecture, hotels, advertising and yachts that took me to many cities in USA, The Caribbean, New Zealand/Australia and Turkey. The projects had to be photographed at all hours. I created the phrase to capture my work ethic.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
After art school I worked as assistant learning the skills of Interior lighting and Architectural Photography. After a number of years I felt confident to go on my own and be independent freelance photographer. I spent built a reputation for my creativity and lighting. The biggest challenges as a photographer besides the work I found to be marketing and business skills. One of the tools I used was joining design organizations and networking. I find people do business with those who they know personally and like. It was not easy as assignments fluctuate from busy to slow. While trying to maintain the commercial career I was also trying to create my own body of art images.

The main reason that I was drawn and stay motivated is passion. I feel like an addict and photography and digital transformation are the drug that keeps me going. As for my brand, I want others to enjoy the experience of viewing my dynamic images.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I now live in east coast Florida. I’d definitely drive the coast to visit St. Augustine, the oldest city in USA. It has a wonderful historic district. The beaches of Lake Worth, Delray and Deerfield are a must. Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood have many restaurants and places to hang out on the water. Then I’d give to west coast to Sarasota. The beaches are white and the sunsets are beautiful. Now destroyed because of Hurricane Ian, I would’ve then gone down to Sanibel Island to wind the trip down. Then back thru the everglades which is also fascinating.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My career mentor was Dan Forer, a great Architectural/Interior photographer. I learned lighting and dedication to not settling for anything less than the best. My artistic mentors were the original black and white masters, Ernst Haas, Pete Turner, Jay Maisel, Mitchell Funk. They inspired me to use photography as a spring board from which to create artistic images. My original goal becoming a photographer was to create art.
