Meet Liz Leszczynski | Owner of Spiritual Massage Healing

We had the good fortune of connecting with Liz Leszczynski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Liz, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
When I had my first massage, I had a spiritual experience. I used to suffer from chronic low back chronic pain until a friend of mine who was working as a massage therapist gifted me my first session. It was during that session when I received a spiritual experience and realized the power of being touched in a healthy, safe and pain free way. I knew at that moment that I wanted to give that feeling back to others, having a positive impact on my clients.

What should our readers know about your business?
I love being a massage therapist and esthetician. I wanted to create a unique environment where people can come in, relax, and get my full attention so that every client I touch receives spiritual healing and body awareness.
It was natural for me to continue to do what I do as a massage therapist and esthetician. My thought behind starting my own business was that I would be able to customize my services for each individual person’s needs and control my availability for clients. I wanted to be able to set my own schedule around my clients schedule and be there when they needed to. I want to maximize my time in order to touch as many people as I can.
I have a habit of making a full commitment to the things I do, and that has definitely helped. Starting and running your own business is a lot of work, with good and bad times along the way. I never lost sight of my long term goal and stayed committed to succeeding, no matter what.
I am true to my name. My brand is a reflection of who I am, what I do, why I do it, and my desire to help other people.
Owning your own business is a lot of work. It’s challenging every day, every week, and every month. It is important to stick to it and to always believe in yourself. I have learned that I am investing. Not only in myself and my business but also my clients.
I believe in responsible risk taking. I took a risk leaving employment and corporate positions, where I got a consistent paycheck, for the unknows of being self employed. It was a huge leap of faith when I decided to leave a toxic corporate environment to pursue my passion and rely on the gift of touch that God has given me. I have faith that when I am doing His will God is my employer and I knew it was time take the risk to start my business so that I would be able to help others heal and grow spiritually.
I was advised to work full time as a massage therapist to see if I liked it before going to school for a different license. It was a financial struggle, but I knew I was doing the thing I was meant to do when I continued taking classes to get my esthetician license. Now I am dual licensed and that is a benefit in my business.
I don’t feel like I have a work life balance right now because I need to work more to get my business going the way I want it to. It is harder to maintain balance because I am totally responsible for the business. everyday. It is easier to manage time with a set schedule to maintain than it is to have a lot of flexibility and even more to do. I believe that life is all about finding and refining balance.
I am inspirited by faith that being of service for others is my purpose and God’s will for my life. I believe that God gave me the gift of healing touch and the ability to help others recover from physical and emotional pain.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am born and raised in San Diego. I have lived from La Jolla Coast to East County and now in North County Oceanside.
I love showing new friends who have not experienced San Diego around. Some of the many favorite spots that I would take someone would be driving the Coast Hwy 101 from Oceanside to La Jolla, Pacific Beach to Mission Beach, Crown Point and Ocean Beach, Liberty Station to Sea Port Village to across the bridge to Coronado. I love to hike Torrey Pines, kayaking and snorkeling in La Jolla, I like to ride horses in Campo, ride my SE Bike in Crown Point and ripping in around town on a motorcycle. I would take my friends to fancy movie theater, play laser tag, go to a Gulls or Padre game, and be a big kid at Coin Op.
I would take them to eat a few different favorite places, Pizza Port in Ocean Beach, Smoken J’s BBQ in Poway, Taco stand in North Park and any Board n Brew.
The best part of San Diego is going to the beach and watching out beautiful sunsets. My favorite local spots are Solana Beach, Marine Street and Silver Strand in Coronado.
Sounds fun right? Who wants to book a session with me and hang out for the rest of the day?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am eternally grateful for all the love and support that I have from my Mom. She has believed in me, encouraged me, supported me, and helped me with business concepts and ideas. She still motivates me to stick to it. I wouldn’t be doing what I do without my relationship with God and knowing that this is a gift He has given me to give back to others. To all my family, friends, clients and clients who have become friends, without you I wouldn’t be able to continue to help more people and for you in taking care of yourself and your self care.
