We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Padilla and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lisa, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve been a realtor in San Diego for over 23 years and have seen the industry and local market change over the years. What I found is that there was a void in the industry in regards to mindfulness and thoughtful intention. As real estate has become increasingly popular in the media over the past decade I’ve seen that the focus is on the “flashy” ego driven side of real estate. Fancy cars, designer clothing, etc. which takes away from the actual purpose of our job, which is to help people with one of the biggest decisions of their lives. I decided to start Ritual Realty to bring forward a mindful way of doing business with intention and ease while focusing on the customer and their experience buying and selling a home. I wanted to support agents that share the same values so we can bring a breath of fresh air to the industry and bring back some of that real personal care that may have been diluted in the previous years.
What should our readers know about your business?
At Ritual Realty, we believe in the sacred spaces we all call home and their powerful ability to nurture us. We genuinely care about connecting with you on a deeply human level, and as your compassionate partner and advocate, your well-being and best interests always come first. With our training in yoga, breathwork, meditation, and life coaching, we approach each relationship from a place of awareness and ensure that each transaction is handled with intention and ease.
Guided by mindfulness, empathy, and compassion, we offer high-touch personalized care and bring a clear-minded and centered approach to every transaction — no need for the flashy egotistical side of real estate. Ritual has you covered with our decades of local real estate experience and our eagerness to help you shine not only in your real estate endeavors but your whole life.
Our backgrounds in marketing, design, real estate development, and construction, paired with our modern, supportive methods, provide a unique edge seldom seen in today’s industry. We’re here to guide you from the beginning planning stages of your first purchase through helping you buy/sell and grow your real estate portfolio. Perhaps even assist you in getting past some self-limiting beliefs to get into the market in the first place.
Ritual Realty combines the one-on-one care of a boutique brokerage with the expertise, masterful negotiation skills, and resources of a larger firm. Though, unlike those larger firms, long after the journey of the home selling process ends, we remain available to you as a devoted friend, trusted resource, and ongoing source of support.
Over the decades, we have perfected the ritual of the transaction to rise above the exchange and become a vehicle for wellness, connection, and growth in the timeless present.
This is Ritual Realty, where your real estate journey is a ceremony.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’ve lived downtown for almost 20 years so I have a love affair with the city. I would immediately pick up my friend from the airport and head down to Portside Pier for a drink to overlook the harbor then we would head to Little Italy to have dinner at either Herb & Wood or Kettner Exchange and maybe stop into Vino Carta for a glass of wine. One day we would go for a walk through balboa park, visit one of the museums and grab lunch at Artifact at Mingei. Later we could visit Little Italy Farmer’s market on Saturday and book a sail boat ride for the afternoon. At night we could head to North Park and have dinner at Mabel’s Gone Fishing and have a drink at Part Time Lover. One day we could head to Coronado dog beach with my pup and then lay out by the hotel del coronado or visit North Pacific Beach and have lunch at JRDN restaurant while watching the surfers. Nightlife downtown would include drinks and music at camino riviera, karaoke at the lamp lighter or check out an event at Quartyard. I’ve been a member at the San Diego Zoo for 20 years and would definitely throw that on the rotation one day.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to send a shoutout to my yoga & healing community that has gotten me to this point in my personal healing journey and inspired me to bring this angle to the real estate community.
