We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa-Marie Lovett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa-Marie, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most crucial aspect of accomplishment is measuring it against my own standards first. The process of defining achievement is ongoing and will evolve from month to month and over the years. The most essential aspect of my brand’s success is staying true to myself and displaying good intentions through my words and actions. The key to achieving success, in my opinion, is also being open to learning and facing challenges that foster personal development and a deeper comprehension of oneself and the endeavor pursued.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been a professional photographer for thirteen years. This outlet has permitted me to meet many individuals from diverse backgrounds and has enhanced my creative abilities. It has also helped me become more confident in myself, which has opened the door to the possibility of anything I can envision. It was not always simple, but the difficulty never made me want to give up. I’ve learned to take my time in business, not racing to compare or keep up with every new trend, as the timeless captures of photography endures forever. A year ago, I expanded my writings, including video as a visionary compliment. Photography provided me with the insight and knowledge necessary to hone my videography abilities and nurture my creative writing. With both, I was able to produce vigorously. The challenge was to accept something novel and its manifestation in my life. Sometimes what we begin with becomes the foundation for what we progress into. Years of photography experience behind the camera compelled me to create in front of the camera and tell my own narrative in my own way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I reside in a small area adjacent to the lovely city of Savannah, Georgia. If a friend were to spend a week in the area, we would rent an Airbnb in the city, visit downtown, River Street, Forsyth Park, take a trolley tour, and go on ghost tours. Each day would be filled with something new, there are restaurants everywhere, and many of the city’s major attractions are located in the downtown area. We would eat at The Grey, Sisters of the New South, and The Garage at Victory North, which are all black-owned enterprises. Tybee island Beach island is a short drive away, where we would spend the day soaking up the sun and experiencing the sand and water between our toes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am surrounded by a beautiful group of people who love me with grace and encourage me with vigor. Each individual is defined by their boundless love and the various roles they perform in my life. Each is a supporter, encourager, healer, counselor, member of my family, and close friend. I am grateful for the loving and harmonious nature of my relationships and how they materialize in my life.
