Meet Leeroy Queriapa | Rocker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Leeroy Queriapa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leeroy, what are you inspired by?
At its core, I’m inspired by the feeling. The sensation of freedom and excitement you experience when you first heard your favorite song or when you first kissed your girlfriend. It’s a timeless feeling that transcends written language. It’s difficult to articulate but easy to feel. When your feet are rockin’ and hips rollin’, you know your in the right place and that place is in The Bounce House!
What should our readers know about your business?
We are in the business of Rock N Roll. With an extremely volatile market, this business, which is really a life style, is not for everyone. What sets us apart here at Bounce House is how we embrace tradition. Using tried and true business modles that have been pioneered by the likes of The Beatles and Rolling Stones, we humbly follow in thier steps. At first it wasn’t easy. Our biggest challenge was recruiting the right members for the job. With a real boots on the ground approach we scouted every where from dirty dive bars to glamorous dance halls. With some luck and hard work, we found our key players and now have an all star team ready to dominate the sound waves!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The best way to start off a great day would be at contra coffee at the orange circle. With a great coffee selection, an in house record shop (resident vinyl) and friendly vibes. You can go wrong. My favorite place to eat would be at Phoholic at the Rodeo 39. Best Pho ever! It will put your favorite Pho to shame. Right next door is a slept on vintage store named 2nd street. This location always has dope clothes. No gate keeping here. Go check it out.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are many people I attribute the success of the band to but hands down the most influential would have to be Revel, our drummer. Bounce House originally germinated as a solo project in the darken room of my underground studio with an electric guitar as a petri dish. I had written a few songs for the project and needed help recording it. So, naturally I asked Revel, who’s someone I’ve been involved with in many bands and artistic affairs to help me record the songs and play drums on the tracks, with no strings attached. As we completed the basic tracks to what was to become the Pop Rox EP, all the strings became attached and now we’re strumming on those strings and rockin out tunes together!
