We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Waskewicz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I come from a family of entrepreneurs and always dreamt of starting my own business one day. Being a business owner makes you vulnerable, allowing the entire world to see your heart and soul being put into your work. Naturally, there will be critics who don’t agree with your personal viewpoints but if you truly believe in what you’re doing, everything else is background noise that you learn to ignore. Opening my first business, Be You Be Wholesome, is one of the scariest yet most rewarding risks I have ever taken. Accepting risk requires planning and implementing strategies to mitigate risk down to an acceptable level. During my previous job, I saved money and researched credible schools to earn my masters in Holistic Nutrition. After graduating I interned with a Holistic Doctor who taught me how to work with clients and with enough experience I started to take on my own under Be You Be Wholesome. . My advice: if you have a passion for something with a well thought out plan, TAKE THE RISK. When I had an opportunity to start my own supplement line, Bold Rise, of course I was terrified! But I took the risk! Now I have my own nutrition business along with my own supplement line. Risk taking leads to fails and successes, but that is just part of the journey: you learn from the mistakes and grow from them. When you truly believe in what you’re doing, it takes time, but it will happen.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My goal for Be You Be Wholesome is to provide educated support and knowledge for individuals who need guidance when it comes to healing their bodies. This is not a 30-day challenge; it is not about deprivation or cutting out favorite foods. My method teaches a healthy mindset for a lifetime of health and happiness. It is about learning your own body and learning to fuel it with proper nutrition. It allows individuals to indulge in their favorite foods in moderation, teaches portion control, and ultimately changes the way the client thinks about food. As a certified Holistic Nutritionist, I want to help people feel their best from the inside out by creating a simple product that delivers this in just one nutritional scoop. The majority of us don’t have time to make a complicated smoothie consisting of 15 ingredients every day. Supplements are expensive, especially when you need to buy more than one to get the most out of it. That is why I came up with my supplement line Bold Rise. My first product, Bold Morning is a great tasting single scoop supplement for all of your beauty and wellness nutrition essentials. I’m not in the business of making flakey promises or offering questionable products. I researched and formulated a supplement I trust and 100% believe in.
